A British F-35 fighter jet has crashed into the sea during a routine operation in the Mediterranean, the Ministry of Defence has said.

The pilot ejected and has safely returned to the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth and an investigation has begun, the MoD added.

I read the article yesterday on another site and thought these things happen. Bad day at the office, but at least the pilot is ok.

Now I read the same article on the UK's Daily Mail, and it is now a 'HUNT FOR LOST STEALTH JET'

They wrote it up as a bad movie script.... an opportunity to mention the Russians and the British special forces as well.  ;D

Maybe its stealth makes it difficult to find.

The Daily Mail lives accordingly to the old newspaper maxim, never let the truth get in the way of a good story, or these days it should read clicks.

The BBC report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-59323895

p.s there are of course people that will believe this shite.

Living proof of the poorly edited stuff that is out there these days. When I was young the public would have been less aware of these kind of things and if they were there would have been great shame attached to the paper. Not thus today.
