Anybody got any good book or internet source suggestions for what good or bad that Napoleon himself did for the world and what his people, other peoples and his generals or other monarchs thought of him?
Asking for a school project. So any internet articles must have an author listed.
Any help appreciated. Most of my stuff is very focussed on his campaigns.
Not sure if this fits per se, but there is a podcast called, "The Age of Napoleon," that covers an immense amount of material of the time period - not just war stuff too - in 30ish minute blocks.
Looking at the creator's website, he does offer up contact information, so it may be possible to query him directly about more specific things that you have in mind.

This was the first book I read on the Napoleonic Age years and years ago - looks like it was originally published in 1963:
The Age of Napoleon by J. Christopher Herold
https://www.amazon.com/Age-Napoleon-J-Christopher-Herold/dp/B001MYWFPG/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=the+age+of+napoleon+j.+christopher+herold&qid=1616157714&s=books&sr=1-1
One book you may want to take a look at is Desmond Seward's "Napoleon and Hitler: a Comparative Biography" https://www.amazon.com/Napoleon-Hitler-Comparative-Desmond-Seward/dp/0245546367/ref=sr_1_14?crid=2409CWSYR9ODW&dchild=1&keywords=desmond+seward&qid=1616158308&sprefix=Desmond+Seward%2Caps%2C310&sr=8-14
I don't think it will give all the answers you are looking for, but it may point you in directions for further research
^I've wanted to read that since I was a kid too.

The definitive biography of the great soldier-statesman by the New York Times bestselling author of The Storm of War—winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Biography and the Grand Prix of the Fondation Napoleon
"An epically scaled new biography . . . Roberts brilliantly conveys the sheer energy and presence of Napoleon the organizational and military whirlwind who, through crisp and incessant questioning, sized up people and problems and got things done. . . . His dynamism shines in Roberts's set-piece chapters on major battles like Austerlitz, Jena, and Marengo, turning visionary military maneuvers into politically potent moments."
—The New York Times Book Review
"Napoleon remade France and much of Europe in his fifteen years in power and proved himself one of history's greatest military commanders. Roberts's access to Napoleon's thirty-three thousand letters, only recently available, allowed him to create a fully human portrait of this larger-than-life figure."
—The Wall Street Journal
Thanks Pete. I appreciate it.
Will take a look.
