Indy and Monaco this weekend!!! :D
watching Monaco practice laps on a wet track. SQUEEEE
and Mercedes crushes it again with a 1st and 2nd place finish.
Hamilton is with Mercedes now? Wow I've been out of touch...
for a while actually.
though I have to admit that Indy was kinda boring after watching Monaco.
dont you people get the joy of driving?
this thread hasn't picked up like I thought it would.
Saw the movie 'Rush' the other day on a flight. Great stuff.
Ive been meaning to see that but I keep forgetting about it.
Rush is a great flick. Should have done better in the states but there are to few F1 lovers here. The Senna documentary is awesome too. Another thing that hurts is that the US sports networks only show like 2-3 F1 events. You need a cable package with Speed to have a shot at seeing more action.
Is anyine going to watch the Canadistanian Gran Prix on Sunday?
Who is broadcasting it? I'd love to watch it is I can see it with my lame channel package. :tickedoff:
The weather is perfect this weekend. People brought out the really nice cars last night. Where'd all these Ferrari's and Lamborghini's in town come from??
I think you can catch it on TSN if you're in the US. Or maybe http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/ (http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/) on NBC online.
They're might be some online 'streams' (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csF3RLEmRTo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csF3RLEmRTo)).
Thanks for the info.
Lots of hot cars downtown tonight, and lots of eye candy :)

NBCSP, their sports channel has been covering on American tv. Im not so into the Mercedes cars but I'd like to see Hamilton continue to kick ass. I'd like to see him on the Ferrari team but I understand the money isn't there. :buck2:
Mercedes is crushing it.... again
Brake problems ruin Mercedes perfect season.
The whole losing power and failing brakes was weird. No perfect season this year. :'(
Not so weird considering the straights and turns. I can only imagine the fit Hamilton is throwing right now.
are any of you pantywaisted going to watch Le Mans this weekend?
Completely forgot about that one, thanks for the heads up.
Racing should be about pushing the car and yourself to the limit..now in F1 it's all about car management...yawn.
thats one persons opinion.
I disagree. All race car drivers know the risk, and they want to push limits. They are professionals who know their machine, their track and their crewmen very well. The F1 management thing aside, the stuff still impresses me.
Hamilton wins Silverstone and Indy sets record as the fastest race ever with a 203 mph average.
not that you footie wusses care or anything. >:(
Wazzat? Something about cars? ;)
well after failing at tennis and soccer you would think the Brits here would be happy that one of theres won at home today.
Caught the qualifying on Saturday when he got bumped off the poll in the last seconds with the on and off rain on the course. Happy he won. O0
I do wonder how much of the Mercedes team drama is engineered.
Lewis Hamilton is simply one of the best drivers ever.
so I was asked by a women on Sunday exactly why I liked racing and what made it important.
my response was this:
at one time or another you may play football, baseball, hockey, golf or tennis and you may enjoy it while you do.
racing however is driving and you drive almost every day of your adult life. whats on the track WILL be in your car in a few years.
so of all of the sports out there racing has the most real impact on your daily life.

Whereas one really shouldn't literally kill their competition, IMHO Mr. Ward was a dumbass for running onto the track to confront Mr. Stewart while the race was still in progress.
+1
read about this elsewhere and the overall opinion is he should not have been there
totally Wards fault IMHO. RIP to the guy but really.... running into the middle of a Sprint car race on a dirt track at the corner has Darwin Award all over it.

Austin Grand Prix Sunday bitches!!!! WOOOT!!!
BOOM! 5 in a row for Hamilton.
It was good to see a race in America that didn't turn left all the time. O0
no shit! I do miss the Miami Grand Prix though. :'(
Austin and Russia are excellent tracks. high speed straights and twisty parts and you can see it all because there arent old growth trees everywhere.
