So far, a cooler than normal summer in Alabama.  We have also gotten a lot of rain and the plants are very happy.

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. There was an excellent chart from several years ago, limning all the official tornado tracks and strengths in the United States (and Canada and Mexico where those were near the border), since records started being kept, and every state had a lot more than I was expecting. (Well, except the midwest states, which were covered over in tracks as expected.)
