I was really surprised when I read that the the air force was no longer considering the Scorpion for the Light Attack Aircraft. Just the A-29 Super Tucano, and AT-6 Wolverine left. I thought the scorpions had all the makings of a great LAT.

They seem to have a real affinity for sticking with a prop-driven aircraft.
That is quite the set of cameras on the nose.
Almost all of these aircraft seem to have a very capable target acquisition/designation system. Most of them also have bolt on armour packages, but I can't see them being as robust as the A-10. It's sorta hard to read between the lines at this point - will these aircraft be taking on an A-10 role or just acting in a COIN/FAC type-of role? I suspect the latter.
