Mr. All Ears? What made him win your votes?

Voting under 18 is a joke. Even when you try to be a responsible teen your opinion of what issues matter, read get funding, are not based on living in the adult world. I worked while living at home, which gave me lots of money for GFs, cool stuff, trips, etc. When I was a student the student life was also completely different from the real world of bills, work, scraping for a down payment.

Perot was my protest vote.  I didn't like Clinton or Bush.  And I liked the flat tax idea.  Everybody has to pay that way.

My first vote was in 1988 at the tender age of 18. I voted Dukakis, mainly because the thought of Bush riding Reagan's coattails into the Oval Office was something that made me ill.

Perot was my protest vote as well.

Funny, I was just talking with a co-worker this morning - we need another Perot-like personality and party because quite frankly, I've had my fill of both the Democrat and Republican parties.

Ditto, in college. Though had I thought that out a bit farther, realizing he was only going to split the Republican vote, I would have voted Bush as I did prefer him somewhat to Clinton. (My family lives in West Tennessee, and the political observers among us already knew about the Clintons from their adventures over in Ozarkland just across the river.)
