Scenario 2 - Mind the Gap
Learning 1985: Under an Iron Sky

July 24, 1985 0400z
Synopsis
With the main Warsaw Pact effort taking place in Northern Germany, the task assigned to Soviet 8th Guards and 1st Guards Tank Armies is to keep US V and German III Corps busy, inflicting as much losses as possible and forcing NATO to commit reserves and reinforcements to the defense of Frankfurt.

NATO must stop or at least slow down the enemy advance, ensure no disruption to REFORGER operations and decide if US ground and air reinforcements should be used in CENTAG area, or diverted to help NORTHRAG defense. Taking the wrong choice could mean the fall of Frankfurt!

Game Length: 5 turns, with turn 0 movement in effect.

Warsaw Pact Commander: T-Mo

Starting situation:


Warsaw Pact is mobilizing towards the Fulda Gap. Surveilance units will observe the area for the coming hours in order to field an effective defense.
Bridges along the Fulda river are key points, as is the more southerly located infamous 'gap' .
