Quasi-Annual Oinephyta

 So, apparently after the Spartans won Tanagra, their army was such a wreck that they went home, leaving the happy and healthy losers (the Athenian Army) to seek out and crush the Thebans and their allies at Oinephyta and thus gain hegenomy over Thessally for a generation.

   So what did Oinephyta look like?  It happened on the Asopos River and that river is on the Hoplite Platea map.  So here is a shot at Oinephyta (Mark IV):
In this case the Athenians have 1 less phalanx than at Tanagra (where the game scenario gives them 11) and the Thebans have only 9, but are on the defensive.

   So what did Oinephyta look like? 
   

  After 1 turn the Thebans are evaporating.  I blame the Athenian archers and just plain bad luck by the ton.  The Athenian cavalry was able to drive back or disperse most of the Theban skirmishers and the Theban hoplites moved first and were held up by their own cavalry (which didn't get to move -- luck of the chits).  From there on, everything went wrong:
