No probs and thanks. I was really saying it for clarity for myself because I did what I sometimes do - try and apply the modifiers to the to hit.

Man - working with armour has some spiffy new rules to take into account (small vehicle, open turret, no HE, allowed 3 shots!!)

I might leave tanks for a while! :)

?Does LnL call tanks with their commander/crew exposed from their hatches "Open Topped"?  If so, what does it call an AFV such as the US M-10 that doesn't have a full enclosed turret (topless so to speak)?

Yes, LnL terms it Open or Buttoned for tanks that can. Open topped is for vehicles that can't button up, like the Bren Carriers and the halftrack in this scenario.
