During excavations in the Greek city of Pylos, a seal called Pylos Combat Agate was found in the tomb of a Griffin Warrior. The find dates back to the seventeenth and sixteenth centuries BC. The seal was created in Minoan Crete at the end of the Bronze Age. Pylos Combat Agate is one of the most important Minoan artifacts. It is a unique source of knowledge about technology, military affairs and the worldview of the ancient Cretans.
