This is one of the older Dragon kits (they started coming out with some really nice stuff around the time I stopped). The zimmerit is a resin type, I forget the manufacturer. It was a real pain to get it on, think it needed an epoxy mix. Aber Photo Etch was used as well (lots of stuff in the aber sets, didn't use a ton of it).

Base coat on. I remember having a real hard time with painting on this one, I was getting a micro bubbling or something. After a few more coats I was able to get over it. Of course weathering process helped hide a lot of the ugliness.
