He didn't play it every day but it sounds like its been an ongoing game that is stuck in a never ending nuclear war.  This is some serious dedication or lack of a personal life.

QuoteIn an impressive display of dedication, Reddit user 'Lycerius' claims he has been playing a single game of Sid Meier's classic world-ruling strategy game Civilization II for nearly 10 years now. But sadly, the future world he's dealing with is "a hellish nightmare of suffering and devastation."

Here is the Reddit post that outed him to the world

Well I'd say he's gotten his moneys worth out of the game.

Someday you guys are going to be reading a story on me doing this with my current War in the Pacific: AE campaign.

I was looking for the rest of the line:

"... died on toilet yesterday afternoon."

Like that one Korean WoW player who played himself to death.

If you continuously play a Civ II game, you will finish it quickly.
Taking 10 years means the play is not continuous.  Maybe a few hours a week or a month!

Not as bad as someone that buys every new game that comes out and only gets part way through the tutorial before moving on to the next game.

ASL is probably the one game that I have gone back to consistantly; that and maybe Empire Earth when I want to work on my finger dexterity.  B-)

I hope that isn't a foreshadowing of our fate....
My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.
