I was hoping for something much more massive, but the price seems right.

If we're getting a sub, it really needs to be the Nautilus.

That 'League' Nautilus is cool, bringing back abit of Cp Nemo's Indian heritage and all, but it has no dive planes or rudders. Does the crew run from one end to the other to change angle of attack?

It looks there are planes and a rudder at the aft end.

Before everyone gets too carried away, both those Nautali have too much scrimshaw on the hull.
The sonar signature would be heard from miles away.

If there were any Homing Torpedoes back in 1870 or 1900 I'm sure that the Nautilus would be the only one firing them. ;)

To be honest, I feel about the same way. I picked up the first season on DVD cheap and just had a hard time getting into it. They are some decent episodes but they are few and far between.

I did think the Seaview was cool, though. The Flying Sub was a different matter. It would fly about as well as a rock, I think.
