Title: Mr. President
Post by: BanzaiCat on September 08, 2015, 08:24:12 PM
A new game by GMT called Mr. President will not simulate a run for the White House, but what you have to do while sitting in that big leather chair in the Oval Office.

I'm REALLY stoked about this as it made their P500. I've already reached out to them to procure a review copy for the site and no doubt I've bugged the hell out of them enough in two days, because I love a good political sim. Coming from GMT, if this is anything like 1989 or Twilight Struggle, it should be a brilliant game, I hope.

Noticed this in the recent newsletter.

Sounds interesting.

This one stood out for me too in the recent newsletter and I posted a message to Gene Billingsly with a couple of questions about "what" it sims exactly for which he replied.  I'm a little disappointed that "how" you govern politically isn't modeled (left/right/center).  Seems to be a "World Crisis Control", put out the fires, resource managment type of game almost akin to Twilight Struggle - which isn't a terrible thing at all really.  I'll definitely P500 it, in fact I meant to plug in my info yesterday.  I suspect this one may cross the threshold fairly quickly.
