Wings of Glory: Balloon Busting

It's been ages since I've played Wings of Glory and even longer since I've played WWI.

We got the game on the table today for the first time since Covid and decided to try a balloon busting mission.

A Brit Snipe and a French SPAD escort a French Nieuport 16 as it tries to knock down a German artillery spotting balloon protected by 2 Albartosses, AA, and overly eager rifleman in the trenches.


We were all very rusty and it showed.  Lots of near collisions, comically mistimed maneuvers, and overall terrible gunnery saw the only casualty being the rocket-armed Nieuport as it hit the balloon's tether wire.

Fun session though.  Lots of laughs.
