Us old folk are just now getting comfortable with scan bars :pullhair:  >:D :2funny:

This spring season, the University of Central Florida's *sigh* / *smh* (UCF) football team will don QR codes instead of numbers on the back of their jerseys (via SportsLogos.net). The team showed off their new garb on Twitter, sporting large, custom QR codes beneath their last names that you can scan to access players' biographies on UCF's website.

"Just 'casue you can, don't mean you should," firmly applies to this bit here.

Can't wait for genius types to slather these things on F1 cars.

I mean I'm relatively young (30) and I think this is really stupid.  Who the hell can read a QR code?  If you're going through the trouble of pausing the game, holding up your phone to the screen to scan the QR code and get the player's stats, would it not be easier at that point to just type the last name and number into Google and get the exact same information?   :idiot2:

It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge.  War endures.  As well ask men what they think of stone.  War was always here.  Before man was, war waited for him.  The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner.  That is the way it was and will be.  That way and not some other way.

If they made nothing but WWII games, I'd be perfectly content.  Hypothetical matchups from alternate history 1980s, asymmetrical US-bashes-some-3rd world guerillas, or minor wars between Upper Bumblescum and outer Kaboomistan hold no appeal for me.

I guess it's sort of nice that the word "tactical" seems to refer to some kind of seriousness during your moments of mental clarity.

This is will burn out way quicker than NFT's, which are already looking pretty stale.  This serves absolutely no purpose and benefits no one, buy, yay!?
