Title: Need New MP3 Player
Post by: airboy on January 21, 2015, 10:42:01 AM
I think I lost my Ipod.  It had a big memory and was used for audio books.  If I cannot locate it today - then it is gone.

It seems like the ITunes software keeps getting changed, and the changes keep getting less usable.  Seems like they are trying to kill MP3 players to get people to switch to Iphones.

I am looking for:
a] MP3 Player that is flexible in formats it can play.
b] Easy to Use
c] Reasonable storage capability
d] Good battery life
e] Can also be run on an adapter from my car
f] Software easy to use to transfer files than that ITunes crap.

Thanks for your suggestions.

If I didn't already have the FiiO X3 I would buy the FiiO X5 (http://www.amazon.com/X5-Resolution-Lossless-Music-Player/dp/B00I4Q9S32). It's a little pricey but it sounds great IMO. It holds a charge for quite a while, I think around 10 hours.  Here's a review (http://headmania.org/2014/03/15/fiio-x5-review/) of it.

Do you listen mostly on your headphones or mostly on your car stereo? If the latter, use your tablet if you have one, esp. if it has a mem card slot. You can buy a simple cassette adapter for the car radio.
