I know Xbox One is the latest, but I see they are still selling 360, for quite a bit less.  Can some of you help me with a couple of questions between the two;

1.  The games are not compatible between the two, correct.

2.  For Xbox One, do you have to be online to play the games

3.  I've been told that you don't actually buy the games for Xbox One.  What you get is the ability to download it, but you never actually own the game.

1. That is correct.

2. No you don't. They changed that after the huge out cry during the launch campaign.

3. This I can't answer as I don't have the Xbone... not sure if I will....

1. The games and hardware are not compatible between the two systems.

2. You do not need to be online all the time with the Xbox One. You do need to connect for the initial system setup. After that you can play disc based games offline without having to connect again. Obviously you need to connect occasionally for system updates, etc.

The backed off on #3 as well. You own your disc-based games and can sell, trade or give them away without restriction.

Well, if you did not own a 360 before and you are now considering buying a console for playing games and having fun, then hands down the older gen wins imo, go and buy a 360. It's cheaper and there are so many great games (older ones that you can grab for a few bucks and even new ones, a bit less shiny gfx-wise but still the same game as on the XO) that you probably won't have the time to play them all in your life. Next gen this time is quite a downer, I'm also still playing on my 360 and see no reason to upgrade to a next gen console, still so many games on my shelf to finsih, and so many more I always wanted to play and can now buy for cheap. If I do go next gen however it will be a PS4...it's the better hardware compared to the XO.
