UK Post Office Scandal

Apparently this British made "docudrama" is available in the states somewhere.

It's worth a watch. I don't know if any of you know, but the Post Office in the UK has been sacking post masters (people who run their post offices for them), taking them to court, getting them jailed and chasing them for thousands of pounds.

Turns out The Post Office Horizon software system was faulty, the Post Office knew about it and were covering it up - all the while, treating these people as social pariahs.

These postmasters were having their livelihoods stolen, their houses, chased out of communities (Post Masters in the UK - especially villages - are at the centre of the community and all of a sudden people were thinking they had been stealing money). Some even committed suicide - all due to these false accusations.

They've behaved appallingly - and it's still ongoing - from something like 1999!

Anyway - I think it's a 3 or 4 part series about 1 hour each. Worth a watch to see what the "little person" has to do when fighting a big company.
