This is the critical 3/4 of the battle.   The Swedes come rolling in on the early afternoon breeze, hoping to build on their unexpected survival of the last campaign season by catching the Russian Fleet as it assembles:

Five or ten minutes into the battle and the wind changes.  This is probably sort of good for the Russians -- who were going to have some trouble staying together on a turn from beating to reaching:

Here is the actual change (Russians now going from reaching to running -- should work better in the turn):

15-20 minutes into the battle.  On each side the flagships have taken some hits and things are getting somewhat twisted:

About half an hour in and things have started drifting in the historical direction (as often happens).  The Federneslandet takes a lot of hits in the rigging and is afire:

A little later the wind shifts again (another favorable shift for the Russians who also roll initiative which they tend to have anyway and do some lucky shooting too).     Federneslandet  gets the fire out and (compared to the flagship) her rigging is functional:

A little later and the wind doesn't shift so not running aground is the big priority for both fleets:

And, about 45 minutes into the battle, the wind still doesn't shift.  The Russian flagship is beating away from the shallows while the Swedish flagship tries to tack and (with a lot of rigging shot up) doesn't make it and sits with its bow into the wind despite the strenuous efforts of its experienced commander and (while sitting motionless) the Gustav III takes more hits in the rigging from Mushchinyi under Admiral Kruz:

Next 2 turns the wind still doesn't change, but the Swedes are able to wear away (northern group) or complete their tacks.  The Russians tack later so the Swedes escape with less than their historical losses.
