Title: Developing a new tabletop miniatures wargame.
Post by: amichaell on October 25, 2020, 08:11:02 PM
If any are interested in giving this a look, we're developing a new miniatures tabletop wargame for release next year. This is a multi genre system, so one rules set for historical, fantasy, sci fi, WWII, and sci fi. The game is miniature scale and base size agnostic, so use just about whatever you already have. We tend to play with 2 mm and 6 mm, though we do some stuff in 28 mm also, mostly black powder with Warlord and Perry minis.

We added a new video today covering how we handle movement. https://youtu.be/5eYEN64K6yg

We also have a FB page up if any are interested in learning more. https://www.facebook.com/groups/AgesofConflict

Ages of Conflict playtest today - undead vs. mushroom men! Today we tested scaling the rules to a battalion level in which every base represents a battalion rather than a company. Successful test and good day of gaming, particularly when the dragon went down due to an incredibly bad roll. Follow along at https://www.facebook.com/groups/AgesofConflict

Thanks. We kept this test pretty simple in regard to the board as we were pressed for time, so we just used an empty table to get into the action quickly.

I like the scale. Reminds me of WH40K Epic.

I still have large Ork and Eldar armies that I painted in the mid 90's when it was just known as Space Marine and then Titan Legions. Those were the first armies I painted after a pathetic and aborted attempt at WHFB. I learned a lot.

Thanks. The undead are Microworld. The mushroom men and purple worm are all 3d prints.

Scale is 6 mm, same as Epic. Epic was my first foray into 6 mm way too long ago. :)

Ran another demo/playtest yesterday. This time I used our battalion scale rules with 2 mm miniatures. Apologize for the camera angle. I must have moved the camera slightly after getting it set up as I didn't capture the entire dice rolling area.

Hi, All
We've begun creating some gameplay videos for our upcoming Kickstarter, Ages of Conflict - a big battle tabletop miniatures wargame. Link to the playlist is below if you are interested in checking it out. (I'm still no good at creating videos unfortunately.)

You can also join us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/AgesofConflict if you have any questions or suggestions. We're always looking for thoughts, suggestions, etc. as well as some playtesters. Thank you!

Hi, All. I recorded a quick solo Ages of Conflict demo game in which an army of Medieval era Normans squares off with an extremely small sci-fi era army. Obviously a bit one-sided, though wanted to show the multi-genre capabilities of the system.

Hi, All. I recorded a solo Ages of Conflict demo game in which an army of American Civil War Confederates attempts to fend off an army of undead. Interesting premise as the Confederates have a decisive ranged advantage, particularly those with rifled muskets, while the undead hold the edge if they can close into hand combat.
