I wonder if Blomkamp's Alien film will take place in South Africa?  ;)
Any time is a good time for pie.

Is Blomkamp the guy who made that terrible, 'District 9,' film?

Sir Slash

OK. Things to do today:  stop by Argyl's Are Us, drive to Star's house( if he lives in a house), don't apply brakes, drop off a copy of Alien vs Predator, and then leave quickly while telling him, "Sorry about your window man". Got it.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

its "drives through Star's house".
good luck escaping on foot though.

I'm going to deploy the Attack Gus.
and while you may laugh, that little frozen fucker has been drowning marinating in a sea of snow and estrogen fueled argument for months now.
your ankles shall be shredded and pray he doesnt show up with a step stool.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

I totally agree. I thought it was a terrible film that beat you over the head with it's message.

it wasnt a ground breaking movie but I thought it was pretty good.
I'm looking forward to seeing Chappie in a few weeks.

I just saw the ad for that.  It brings back memories of Short Circuit and Johnny5 a bit.  Its nice to see films these days where the robots develop a conscience

Looks like an interesting flick. BTW, the guy and girl from Die Antwoord are in it.

My son brought Chappie to my attention and he wanted me to watch the trailer last week. After I did I played the trailer for Short Circuit for him...they are very similar. Then again there's few real unique ideas left in Hollywood.

There's "boy meets girl" and there's "then man who learned" - that's pretty much it ;)

Since Fox is currently treating the Isolation game as canon, I wonder if there will be tie-ins?

(Of course, they also treated Colonial Marines as canon, too, for a while...)

As much as I hate A3 having killed off beloved cast members between films, I can't fairly say the film isn't trying hard to get back to the horror roots of A1 and away from the tone of A2. To be bluntly honest, the main reason I used to hate it is because it isn't like A2 and I wanted more of that. After about 10 years I got past that, and while I wouldn't call it the same work of genius as A1 I think it stands on its own merits (choppy though those merits sometimes are).

Ditto A4: like A2 but also very different.

I'm never going to say A3 and A4 are as good as A1 and A2, but I respect them now.

Also, Jim Sterling agrees with me about A3, so all rebuttals are immediately invalid.
