Gents,
We've lost another one of our Grogs.
Per reports online (http://theblitz.org/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=71770&pid=426291#pid426291), Richie61 lost his battle with cancer and just passed away. :'(
Some of you have seen this elsewhere in the forums, but we wanted to start our own thread for it, too.
Feel free to share those happier memories of Richie
RIP Ed
RIP
RIP. May God have mercy on his soul and welcome him into Heaven.
So sorry to hear this. My heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to his family during this time of pain. The man sure did some bodacious add-ons for the John Tiller games was it? The graphics of the weapons and troops I seem to remember? Heaven got a good and very talented man today. :notworthy:
Sorry to hear this. RIP Richie.
Very sad. RIP, Richie.
Rest in peace, Ed.
Very sad news to hear.
I wish his family strength to deal with their loss.
It is especially hard to read in the message that he had to endure excruciating pain during the bigger part of his last six months.
One less Grog :(. May he rest in peace.
Such a major loss. Ed was a great contributor to the hobby and our site. He will be missed. :'(

Back in to the arms of nature, Richie.
You were a champion amongst the wargaming community, and your efforts will be appreciated by the friends you had here, and the newcomers to this wargaming passion of ours, for years to come!
RIP.... :(

The damnable Cancer is claiming the lives of too many people :(
This really sucks.
Just glad he's at peace now and no longer suffering.
I really appreciate Ed's contributions to our hobby. He will be missed.
My condolences to his friends and family.

I don't think I got to know him well while he was here. :'(
(For that matter, I've been worried about Longblade for a while, too. He hasn't logged into Steam in over a year, or posted here much during that time. Maybe on deployment?)

I talked to him about 2 months ago and he's doing fine. He's been pretty busy with work and family but is okay
Thx, that's a relief.
^Agreed. I was also wondering about LB.
Amidst the KS and everything else, I'll play a quick scenario with his SB top-down mod...
He clearly was looking to the future when he worked as hard as he did to get them out as fast as he could.
Eternal Rest Grant Him, Oh Lord, and Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him.
RIP
