Have you guys seen this already? It's a successful kickstarter- a 3D printer that will sell for about $500- less than 1/4 of what a Makerbot costs. The Buccaneer will have a build size of roughly 5" by 5.5" by 5.5" as compared to Makerbot's larger 11.2" X 6.0" X 6.1". Should still be adequate for making most miniatures though.

Have any of you worked with an entry-level 3d printer?
