Yikes. Too close for comfort.

Frankly, I don't know why anyone would travel south of Italy these days.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

My prayers and condolences to all the British victims and families, as well as to the Belgians, Germans, French, and Tunisians affected by this.

We (Belgium) have one woman lost.

All belgian tourists are leaving Tunesia and our government issued a negative travel advice.

I really don't know if this is the best thing to do.  I'm affraid the result of this is just what the killer was after : to destroy all tourism, totally cripling their economy.

I'm hearing similar things in the news here in the US.

Apparently Tunisia is the only "success" story out of the Arab Spring. Tourism is its chief source of income.

Now is the time for the everyday Tunisian to stand up and push extremist Muslims out. IS will do it's best to wreck their economy and then blame the West and the Tunisian government.

Also it is time for the West to take the gloves off and retaliate in force. Nobody wants to see women and children killed but IS don't give a shit about anyone else's women and children. They are playing by different rules and they know we are too weak to respond in kind. Time to totally rethink the IS strategy and start hitting them where it will hurt them. You don't need Google maps to know where Raqqa is.
