So no one is going to react to Starfury's little joke?

It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge.  War endures.  As well ask men what they think of stone.  War was always here.  Before man was, war waited for him.  The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner.  That is the way it was and will be.  That way and not some other way.

If they made nothing but WWII games, I'd be perfectly content.  Hypothetical matchups from alternate history 1980s, asymmetrical US-bashes-some-3rd world guerillas, or minor wars between Upper Bumblescum and outer Kaboomistan hold no appeal for me.

I guess it's sort of nice that the word "tactical" seems to refer to some kind of seriousness during your moments of mental clarity.

I hoped this will be mature conversation about true possibility of mankind bringing itself on the brink of mutual destruction. Sadly, I was wrong. My only hope is that yours president nuclear launching codes are stroganoff.

Sir Slash

That could be considered a very goulash assessment of the situation. Not to make hash of this thread.  ::)

^^No we all understand the implications of what could happen if war does break out between China and the US over Taiwan.  No one wants to believe that something bad could happen but if it does happen I know the guys around here would be able to cope.

My personal belief is that there is going to be a war.  The Chinese are very good at playing the long game and when they are finally ready after taking years of preparation on anything they work on they hit hard and very hard.
