We Don't Want Piers Morgan Back

...can't say as I blame them  ::)

Original WH petition
Government is not the solution to our problem—government is the problem.   Ronald Reagan
The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.   Thomas Jefferson
During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.   George Orwell  The truth is quiet...It's the lies that are loud.   Jesus Revolution
If you ever find yourself in need of a safe space then you're probably going to have to stop calling yourself a social justice warrior. You cannot be a warrior and a pansy at the same time   Mike Adams (RIP Mike)

Longdan

I do not care for the guy at all.  There is a lot of historical justification
for kicking a guy out of your country if he says stuff you do not like.
Especially if he makes you think about stuff or if listening to him
drives you into a sort of blind rage.  You know, kinda like Limbaugh or
Hannity or O'Reilly do for me.  Takes all kinds I think.  If I didn't like you
guys I wouldn't bother telling you what I think, would I?

Meh.

The beauty of the 1st Amendment is that he is welcome to be as big an idiot as he so chooses. If folks didn't keep reminding me, I'd forget he even exists.

I thought the argument that Jones was making with the petition was that Morgan wasn't a US citizen and that there was a provision for chucking out agents provocateurs if they were agitating for sedition.  Did Morgan become a citizen?

You should always be wary of telling citizens in another country what to do or think. you may suggest alternatives but thats about it.

Now coming from a british telling US citizens to get rid of guns, thats just rich considering the two countries shared history.

The fact that the supervilain in hollywood films almost always talk with british accent cant be a coincident  ;D

Quote"It's not very difficult, this," Steyn continued. "How much longer are Americans going to have to put up with some snooty, hoity-toity foreigner coming on the airwaves and telling them everything that's wrong with their country? Why should Americans have to put up with that? It's completely ridiculous. President [George W.] Bush used to talk about the jobs Americans can't do, why do we need to bring in some snooty foreigner with some annoying accent to just go on and tell Americans everything. Can't Americans point out what's wrong with their country on their own? Has it come to this — that we've got to import a special worker class to tell you Americans everything that sucks about America? That's now a job for foreigners? This is ridiculous."

^I really like Mark Steyn.  For a Canadian, he gets it more than most Americans...

That is just because he talks like an American....
"snooty, hoity-toity foreigner"..."annoying accent" telling AMERICANS what to do!!!!!!
Welllll as a Kanookistani I can tell you a bit about foreigners with annoying
accents telling us what to do.  All the time.  Each summer the invasion was
met with civility, clear directions to the border and ample warning about the
antics of Homeland Security. There was a time not so long ago when we would have
willingly thrown our first born under the wheels of their motor homes.
Mark Steyn is a good columnist.  Piers Anthony is annoying.
Throw the foreigner out.  That is usually the message from the immigrants who got
there five minutes before the foreigner.

That's pretty much my take on it as well.  It's not like he's going to sway many folks with what he says anyway, so why go to all that effort to kick him out?

It should also be clear that he is speaking as an individual, and stating his opinion, and not making a statement on behalf of all British people.

That and he's a cock and we don't want him back either

There is an often misconstrued urban myth over here that americans don't understand irony..... To prove them all wrong, and him, please shoot him

Longdan

That irony is just so profound.
I wonder where an Iraqi or an Afghan
would find it?  Let alone a Kanookistani.
