Hmmm.

It seems every major tech development over the last couple of years is moving against PCs. The latest is a move by Dell to create a "thumbtop." This is a flash drive that is an Android OS, and holds 100 GB of space for all your files and apps. It plugs into a monitor and communicates with the mouse and keyboard wirelessly.

Interesting development.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Including the Wyse thin client functionality is interesting.

But this product reminds me of the Cisco Flip Camera.  It was a cool idea that was made obsolete within a few years after every new phone added a camera.
Rather than have to carry yet another device, think corporate users would rather have the thin client tech added to a future smart phone.
