I've found an annoying surprise today.
After a while of my computer started running, I noticed I was missing about 5-6 desktop shortcuts for various games.
It just seems like they disappeared, without there being a trace of it in the system/applications/whatever-else logs.

I've found some of the games that had their shortcuts disappear and re-created them, but not all (My desktop has quite a lot of them :P).

I also scanned for any virus or anything else as such and couldn't find it.

So, question is, anyone got a clue as to what, how and why, has happend?  :-[

Does anyone else use your computer?
Perhaps they got the 'there are unused icons on your desktop' message and followed the prompts to delete those icons.

Nothing really rocks and nothing really rolls and nothing's ever worth the cost...

"Don't you look at me that way..." -the Abyss

'When searching for a meaningful embrace, sometimes my self respect took second place' -Iggy Pop, Cry for Love

... this will go down on your permanent record... -the Violent Femmes, 'Kiss Off'-

"I'm not just anyone, I'm not just anyone-
I got my time machine, got my 'electronic dream!"
-Sonic Reducer, -Dead Boys

Nope.

I doubt I clicked on it myself, though it is a possibility.

Plus, I've got some shortcuts that are older and less used than the ones deleted.

Sometimes that clean unused icons prompt comes up at startup and if you don't cancel it right away it'll run.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.
