I never had any problems with XP. I hated Vista, and I've had more problems with W7 that with any previous versions of Windows. God knows what W8 will be like next time I upgrade - unless MS shove another pile of junk at us first.

Toonces - Don't ask me, I just close my eyes and take it.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

The real question in my mind is "When will Spybot, Avast and the other tools I use to secure my system stop supporting WinXP"? I have some stuff that just will not run under Win 7 (and I assume Win 8).

I like Win 7 for the DX support. I think it's pretty stable but it has some real compatibility issues with some software. I won't be ditching WinXP anytime soon.

It's been so long that I can't remember if I had any problems with XP or not. Vista surprised me--there were a few games I couldn't get up and running on it, but the vast majority gave me no problems. Ditto for Windows 7. But bear in mind that I bought most of the oldies from GOG.com, even if I already owned the retail boxed editions of them.

But I won't be buying Windows 8 except maybe if I buy a tablet that uses it. My next PC will most likely have Windows 9 or some such for it operating system.
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.
