Title: What was done with prisoners in the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan?
Post by: agrippamaxentius on September 21, 2015, 09:20:36 PM
Just took about 33 Mujahdeen prisoners in my "Graviteam Tactics" game and was wondering, what would be their fate? Would they be sent to camps, shot, interrogated to death? Any historical information/sources to answer this question would be appreciated.

Thanks! Agrippa Maxentius

Depends. Do they rape little boys? You, as the Soviets, at least have the advantage that you don't have to pander to the local "culture".

That was not the crime. The crime was assaulting the Afgan soldier who raped the boy. Can't have our troops thinking for themselves or for that matter making moral distinctions of others values even if we are the ones keeping the Taliban from returning the favor to the Afgan soldier. What happened to captured Russians in the 80's I don't know. I think a few were turned over to Pakistan if I remember correctly. Good question though.
