I'm sure you're not.

I have had my problems with Steam. When Steam works, I barely notice. When it doesn't, it is a huge pain in the @$$. So I respect the Steam Recalcitrants.

Actually, I don't use it either, except for the (very) rare occasions when I fire up Empire Total War.  It's the only Steam game I own...and will almost certainly be the last.
