Well Done, i've had Outlast for awhile but have resisted starting because they won't let me have shotgun or at least a lead pipe or something.

Gus, the new Amnesia game Rebirth was just released, might be good for some scares.

^Yeah I've been tracking Rebirth - I liked previous games in the series but they have been a little too 'out there' for me. Reviews for the new game are excellent, though.

Outlast makes it clear that you are not a fighter at all. Took a while to get used to but I did. Puzzles are not my thing either (I suck at them) but they are pretty non-existent in Outlast. May try the Whistleblower DLC this weekend if I finish Necrovision: Lost Battalion. Having more fun with that than I ever expected. Weapons are unusually satisfying to use and the whole game is like playing a damned Motorhead song.

I've finished Vampire the Masquerade: The Coteries of New York as a ventru in 5 hours.  It was like an extremely immersive graphic novel.

I can replay as a ventru, or play as one of two other character types.

Unsure how much replay value it has - but I picked this up for $10 on the Halloween sale and I got my money's worth out of it.

I may have misspelled it.  One of the vampire clans.  Each one has different powers.

Finished it a second time in 3 hours.  The story line was close to the same even though I followed some different leads.  I think perhaps there may be a variant ending (aside from doing something really dumb and dying) - but there is still very little replayability to the game.  So it was good.  I enjoyed it.  But weigh how much play you get for your money if you think about buying this title.

You'll all laugh but I finally had some time to finish Elder Scrolls V Skyrim last month (Main quest + Dawnguard) - eight years after I started playing it.  Please tell me I'm not the only one who took so long.  :hide:

We don't laugh at people who actually finish any game more complicated and lengthy than checkers!   :))

Are you kidding, I'm still not finished. Think I've reinstalled 4 times to play a while, then uninstall until the next time I get the urge. Another benefit of Steam, my save will just stay in the cloud waiting for me. How many hours did you invest and what character type did you play.

Good job on the finish, way to persevere.

I went as a Nord Barbarian the whole time for 8 years.  I was going two-handed and sporting heavy armour all that time until the last 3 months.  This time I completed the Thieves Guild main quest and went full light armor (Nightingale) with sword/shield instead.  This was a lot more fun for me - might just start enough game to see what I missed.  I finished the game after carrying over my saves from Skyrim into the Special Edition, so I'll have to check my other PC downstairs to see how many hours I had.

It's amazing how this game still entertains me.  Just started The Witcher 3 this month, it will be interesting to compare these two (loving the story so far).

I never finished Skyrim either. Plus, many more.  :-[

I achieved an ending in Skyrim but have never went back after that, even though I've wanted to.

After 28 hours of play, I finished Stirring Abyss.  I restarted multiple times before getting deep into it.  I completed every possible side mission to build my strength.

Although I "won," the survivors were sent away to "lab, mental hospitals and institutes."  The underlying menace is still there.

Sir Slash

Cool! Very X-Files-ish. A Win is a Win is a Win in my book. And my book unfortunately has very few Wins lately. So...Celebrate!  <:-)
