Wanted Not Alive, is a turnbased luck of the draw gunfight game, I made it for a western style RPG when I needed a shootout redolution

This is a Turn-based Western Gunfight game, the object of the game is to claim the highest bounty you can from capturing wanted cowboys before your 3 possie members are killed, .

Tour Possie are the 3 left figures from the old west, when you get into a gunfight, your Possie will engage in a gun battle with the wanted cowboy on the right.

The gun battle is simulated by a moveing slider, you have to get the slider to your opponants side on the right, Wgen a slider gets to the right you will capture your enemy and gain the reward, but if the slider gets to your side the left your possie member will die(and you only get 3 in your possie.

there are 3 types of gun bonus in the game, shotgun gets one pip on the slider , pistol get 2 pips on the slider and a rifle that gets you 3 pips head start on the slider, but your opponants also get the same bonus from their weapons too.

there is a dice at either end of the slider they oppose each other , they try to push the slider towards victoy, each shot throws both dice, then the result is applied to the slider.

All you need to know is you want to bank gold. you can also auto simulate the battle. and there are 2 plus buttons if you want to bias the slider in favour of one side or the other

Ok I did the aiming and cover badly last version, Ive totally redone and redisgned the aiming and cover, You place tiles to cover different parts and you aim at different locations you wish too.

Looks pretty cool, I'll have to give it a go.
I started to make a web-based app for "Boot Hill" but never did finish it.

I played a bit with your app, but I could not get a gunfight going, but I may of missed something , I did not give it enough time, BUT that's probably the best web game I ever seen, you should finish it - I really really thought it was great.

Thanks for trying my game aswell

GJK

Thanks!  I don't think it's finished to the point of actually being able to simulate the gunfight but I'd have to look.  I think that I have all the databases there, it's just not implemented yet.
Yours is a neat little design that could be the basis for something more; even going the route of "Boot Hill" if you wanted by adding additional drm's for various things (aim time, etc.).  Good job!

That reminds me of an RPG game that had a most unique aiming system - and the name of the game escapes me but you had a template (clear overlay) for either single shot weapons or (shot)gun blast patterns.  Depending on the range to the target, a drawing of the target would be at close, medium, long or extreme range (largest to smallest in size).  When you'd shoot, you put the bullet hole over the area that you're aiming for (and parts of the body would be blocked by terrain so if in a window for example, you'd put the window overlay over the target and would only see the torso).  The aiming template had several rings (x,y).  You then roll percentile dice, add the modifiers and depending upon where you'd roll, you'd work your way out from the bullet hole (aiming point) until you landed on the final result which may or may not land on the character target or some blocking terrain or miss altogether.  It was rather ingenious I thought but a bit cumbersome managing all the templates that you needed for every possible situation.  Would be cool in a computer game/app however.

That sounds like food fun, you have given me the idea for next update to add more or less DRMs depending on the weapon, I already used a weapon DRM but its getting deeper now. I wasn't just saying it your boothill app is great , I like western themed games a lot.

Ok GJK thanks for the insight, Ive added weapons DRM if you get a shoot out og cover

Ive just noticed this could be classed as a card/boardggame

bbmike I'm still including windows versions for you

Hey, that's pretty cool!  Tough to win, I've lost 3 straight.

Only issue that I found was that the "X" wouldn't close the windowed mode of the game (had to use Task Manager to kill the process).  Good job!

You can just press escape while your focused on the app in windowed version, but your right I should put it in my help files.

Thanks for testing it GJK, I'm glad you liked it, it was a lot of comments you made that moulded it.
