Are there some good games on the subject? Could be 1948, 1956, 1967 or 1973. Thanks

I know there's John Tiller's MidEast '67 game from HPS. Is it good? Any others? I didn't see anything on steam nor gog.

I have not played it yet, but the very first computer game about the Arab Wars was Southern Command (Nov 1981), by SSI. In 1991 they would have Conflict Middle East, which I did not play either.

So I cannot recommand them, but at least you have some names.

The Star and the Crescent by Shrapnel Games and Six Days 1967 from the Wars Across the World system come to mind.

Of course there will be scenarios in SPMBT and TOAW series.

The Campaign series one is pretty good.  I think these wars are not very well covered in computer games.  In boardgames there are the air war game Elusive Victory is enlightening and I think Starkweather (designer of the Grand tactical and
other games including the Greatest Day and Monteliemar ) is working on an Arab-Israeli 1973 game.

The Middle East '67 game is good if you like the Panzer/Campaigns style, which I do.  This one has battles from 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, and a hypothetical 2004 campaign.  I don't think you would be disappointed.

Thanks for the recommandations. Had forgotten about the game from Shrapnet Games. Will check these games out.

Toonces - Don't ask me, I just close my eyes and take it.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

This is one of the Campaign series titles. I have it, and found to be it quite enjoyable.

Thanks for the shouts  :)

Campaign Series: Middle East 1948 - 1985 indeed covers the mentioned eras and wars, with some real and what-if conflicts from 1980s as well. It is in its 2.0 version at the moment, with a free 3.0 update on the books once Campaign Series: Vietnam is out.

How is this? It looks fairly simple.

  Not very good, unfortunately.

I agree.  I picked this up on sale last year or so and only played it once.  Got boring very fast.
