My brigade at Ft. Bragg was the Falcon Brigade, and by convention the three infantry battalions (when there were three) were called "Red," "White," and "Blue." So the call sign for 3rd battalion commander was "Blue Falcon Six." Probably not the best call sign for the old going away plaque. You can probably guess which battalion went away when the brigade reorganized to two battalions.

3rd was going away anyway, regardless of call sign.  But yeah, that's pretty funny :)
