I have three dogs...the other two are a rescue Pit Bull whom is a year old, and my mother-in-law's little terrier mix. It usually cascades down. First the Basset starts barking, then the Pit joins in, and then the Terrier comes running up yapping like a football begging to be punted.

Exactly the reason I have enacted a one pet at a time rule in my house.  And my dog does not bark inside the house.  As a matter of fact, he doesn't bark outside unless there is a reason.  That's a good dog :)
