It is hipster for some reason. I've tried drinking PBR a few times in the past. It's just awful.

We have a lot of local beers I prefer - Shipyard, Geary's, Allagash, Gritty McDuff's, Sebago, Bissell Brother's, I could give you a dozen more names of local microbreweries. There are at least a half-dozen of them within 5 miles of my house.

That's in-town. I live a few miles outside of hipster douche central. Most of the micro-breweries are outside of downtown Portland. Real estate prices downtown are way too high to operate a business like that. There's an industrial park a couple of miles from my place that has become a hub for micro-brews. They have the brewing operation and tasting rooms that have become popular hangouts.
