I bought it a few months ago, wasn't aware of the bad mouthing and thought it was great. I binged on it for weeks. It's on my list of keepers.

They couldn’t just expand it. Needs a new engine to run on modern systems.
I hope it's good. DW is my top one, two or three space empire games.

Amen. Me too.

I don't think the +1 means yes but that he wants to know too.  As do I.  I never play RTS that don't allow paused orders.

RTS games have gone out of style a little, but when they were all the rage I used to get frustrated by reading 5 reviews of a game and not a damn one of them would say whether you can give orders while paused.
Yes! The single most important requirement and they just would not address it. There have been a LOT of promising games that failed that litmus test.

I never understood the flak this game got. I thought it was pretty slick and well done. I just tried it again today with the third party code patch and balance mod. I still think it is a fun, well done and greatly underrated game.

I have had about three versions of the game.  The only item that was a pain was the stadiums.  You had to go on Steam and join one of the workshops to download the old stadiums.  Then, I would start the season and the stadiums wouldn’t show up on the screen.  I decided to move on and not play anymore.
