WWII German Bergepanther, a turretless tank-recovery version of the Panther, was pulled out of a Polish river.

While retreating from the Russians, the German tankers tried to take it across the frozen Czarna Nida River, but it broke through the ice and sank.

Over the years several other German tanks have also been pulled out of the river where they also sank.  The Bergepather is just the latest.
