LNL publishing forget to reup their domain?

DNS propagation can be convoluted. You might keep seeing odd behavior for a day or two.

I suspect when LnL was sold, someone forgot to update the contact or payment info at GoDaddy. They bombard you with emails well before your domain is set to expire (and you can set the domain to auto-renew and not worry about it). Still it's easy enough to let the renewal slip. It happened to the primary domain for the Dallas Cowboys a few years back.

I manage a couple hundred domain names for my work. Even with auto-renewals and constant checking, I've had a few domains expire unintentionally.
