Matrix/Slitherine run frequent (4-6X/year ) on-line tournaments. See here: https://www.matrixgames.com/tournaments The current Christmas tournament is ongoing, but there will likely be another in February (I believe the game designer owns Slitherine, so I wouldn't expect this to change for the foreseeable future :) ). I would play, but right now I have insufficient self-esteem, as I'm getting my butt handed to me in the Combat Mission tournament. I couldn't stand to get body-slammed in a completely different game.....)
Keep in mind I'm setting the bar very low...
I've just purchased the game, so don't feel confident enough for a tournament.
Just a few online games for now will do.

If you are still interested in an opponent in about 60 days, I'll be available. With that said, take a look at the tournaments. They are fun, and there is no better way to learn the game, as you are up against some really good opponents.
