Some of my co-workers were saying that they use a large bucket filled mostly with water and a little bit of antifreeze. The antifreeze prevents the bucket full of water from freezing during the cold months. They suspend some sort of wooden stick across the top of the bucket that has some bait on it. When the mouse/rat goes across the stick they somehow lose balance and fall into the bucket of water and drown. I think they get somewhat intoxicated by the antifreeze which helps them not be able to swim out.
I saw the title and thought that I could attest to the truth of it, but turns out the article is about rats and not personal problems :dreamer:
Interesting device, does this mean the alley cats aren't working hard enough?
A cistern of wine explodes in Sicily.

Ah, you ruined it.
I was deliberately reading the thread without going to the initial article. Made for some entertaining mental gymnastics with the tread title.
