Zaphod gives it 3 thumbs up! :bd:
I liked it.
Samuel Kim knocks it into the parking lot again!
watching it the second time is even betterer! O0
Will be watching very soon. I wish they would drop the whole season at once and not one at a time but hey...minor gripe.
yeah, it seems all streaming services are moving to the weekly format to keep people subscribing over longer periods.
we originally got a month of disney for the Mandilorian, now 5 months later we said fuck it and got the year.
^We did the same thing with Disney and Discovery after getting rid of our land line. Wound up getting both for free for a year. Can't really argue with that.
how did you get it for free?
We got rid of the land line, upgraded our internet and both channels were part of the new package.
nice!
back to the original topic, this series is shaping up quite nicely so far with only 2 episodes.
these shows across the board have saved this franchise from being nothing but a media money grab.
^You've seen all the seasons of The Clone Wars too? Worth watching?
I didn't see the entire series but I thought it started off very slowly and cartoon-like but about 2nd or 3rd Season it got more grown-up and became very watchable.
I need more time for all of this. Good thing I have a good head on my shoulders and spend most of my free time gaming.
Ive watched all of the Clone Wars at least 4 time and Rebels twice.
IMO Clone Wars gets serious way sooner then the 3 season. Very watchable and excellent story lines.
It's on The List!
get ready to fall in love with Ashoka Tano.
after watching Clone Wars youll see how perfectly Dawson played her in the Mandalorian.
she is THE stand out character of the series.
*takes notes*
She's supposed to get her own series...
... along with a bunch of other SW characters. An ambitious roster that's sure to get severely pruned based on Disney's recent chainsaw-waving approach.
the book of boba fett is done shooting.
obi wan is currently shooting and season 3 of the mandilorian is about to start shooting.
Looking forward to Obi Wan, muchly!
Been watching Bad Batch and have to say the Empire sure has changed it's attitude to diversity so far. I know the newer films had female storm troopers though. So I guess it's just the age we live in. I guess I am just used to the traditional ones. Am I being misogynistic to notice a glitch in the matrix of canon? Canon seems to be fluid like everything else these days I guess. Over all I am enjoying Bad Batch though. But am really bummed the season will only be 12 episodes or so that only run for 30mins or so. Not much time to really explore this very important period in the star wars canonical record.
Another Bad Batch mix from Samuel Kim?
With Mando themes and Falcon/WS?!
Sam is also a producer and the score-writer for the fan series "Bucketheads", the first ep of which is pretty lit! I'll link to it later in a different thread (assuming something else doesn't distract me. ;) )
I have to say. Still watching, but the 20-30min episodes are really starting to grind on me. You just start to get into it and it's over. They will not have covered much ground by the end of the season me thinks. However they have managed to almost equal the gender numbers now, which is good.
the weekly format does indeed suck!
I paid my money, let me binge the whole thing NOW!
Reunion was very very tasty!
Yeah, I have a feeling that he will do a Vader like return as a new character. Shame. The creativity seems to be edging towards retelling the same star wars tropes instead of being creative but still being true to the star wars universe's limits and rules.
I wouldnt disagree. all star wars stories are about family and this is no different.
I do find it to be entertaining and thats all I want.
I'm enjoying the series so far, even though I've only seen a couple of seasons of the Clone Wars series.
Hopefully the writers won't cheese out and have Omega go all 'Grant Ward' on the Batch because she has undetected wetware programing waiting to get activated.
Clone Wars is very good but its still stuck to the prequels. season 7 is a great break from that. Rebels is where the fun is even though it starts a bit to geared for kids. that changes pretty fast thankfully.
season 2 is fucking solid.
I've been enjoying it, along with the current season of the Mandalorian.
new trailer out and a release date of Feb. 21st with 3 episodes!
and guess whos back. :smitten:

so far a 100% solid season. imho
so are any of you misanthropes watching this series?
Of course.
Sorry it's the last season. It seems there's so much more that could be explored, given that The Bad Batch is in effect an extension of the Clone Wars.
