Quote from: Taurinoss on March 26, 2024, 05:31:56 AMI was in a similar spot, reminiscing about the good ol' days of D2 but unsure if D3 was worth the plunge. And hey, I hear you on the clickity-clickity gameplay. It can feel a bit repetitive after a while, especially with so many other engaging titles available. Sometimes a bit of mindless demon-slaying is just what the doctor ordered, right? And with the sale going on, it's a pretty sweet deal. Plus, with Diablo IV on the horizon, it could be a good way to dip your toes back into the franchise and see if it still tickles your fancy.

There's a Diablo IV on the horizon?  Please, tell us more about this breaking news!   :headscratch:

Dali 'lost propulsion' before hitting bridge
An unclassified memo from the government agency CISA - the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency - has confirmed that the Singapore-flagged vessel Dali "lost propulsion" and collided with "a supporting tower of the bridge".

Hopefully they will be able to quickly recover more bridge workers from the water.
The port will be blocked until the collapsed spans are cleared.

QuoteHow will the bridge collapse impact shipping?

Katy Austin

Transport Correspondent

Container shipping expert Lars Jansen describes what's happened as a "major disaster" which will "create significant problems on the US East Coast for US importers and exporters".

On top of some 21,000 units of cargo having to go through other ports in the region, he says "multiple merchant vessels are now trapped in the port of Baltimore". None are container ships but there are some bulk carriers.

Jansen says he cannot remember hearing of an event like this before.

He says it will be a big issue for shipping in the region, leading to some delays and added costs. However from a global perspective, it will not have a significant impact.

What else would they use the seaborne drones for? Also - yeah, it's still bad news (not that most Russians would perhaps hear about it) but maybe it does keep them bottled up and allows their ships to get out and into the world.

Keeping the Black Sea Fleet bottled up helps keep alive a vital transport corridor used by commercial ships to access Odessa.

It's unfortunate Ukraine's summer offensive didn't get into artillery range of the transport links from Rostov to Southern Ukraine.  A little easier for Russia to get supplies to its offensive at Avdiivka.

Use eclipse glasses that complies with the ISO 12312-2 intnational standard when viewing any solar eclipse. Also, don't take photos with your cell phone or camera unless it has an appropriate filter on it (unless you want an excuse to your wife  to justify buying a replacement)

The Russians need to move a lot of material around to keep the front supplied
Much like their economy the war is very brittle and when it collapses it will probably be across a wide front
The infrastructure hits have also included trains and bridges so logistics is getting harder and harder
With the Russians not using the Kerch bridge for supplies their landing ships are a key resource that can be used anywhere there is a suitable beach not just at ports
Now almost half those ships are gone
Will this be the straw that breaks it open?
