Winter is coming to my town tomorrow in the form of around an inch of snow. Insignificant to the vast majority of you, but, traffic stopping here. You see, there are no sand or salt trucks. No plows. None of the accoutrement of other climes and their winter preparedness. However, it appears that other areas of the Deep South may get it far worse than I. For those in North Carolina, according to the article, it appears you may get the worst of it with a snow/sleet/icy rain mix. Stay safe fellow Grogs!

Auburn may get some sleet, but I cannot see snow on the ground given the ground temperature.
Any hint of white powder on the ground and the goal is to buy a six-pack and camp out on an overpass to watch the traffic hilarity ensue.
Got a couple of inches here in OKC overnight, supposed to get another half inch or so during the day. Schools and some businesses closed and it's going to drop down to 5 degrees in the metro tonight, but warm up again tomorrow. OKC does pretty well for the most part when it comes to winter weather.
We're predicted to get 6" here. They've already brined roads and staged trucks. The goal for most places is to get everyone home before 4pm when it's supposed to start.
The good part is that it comes in over Friday night so the kids have the weekend to play before it starts to melt off
I was wondering where this year's Snowpocalypse thread was! We've had a pretty warm summer in West TN (by the standards of my lifetime), but I'll occasionally see mentions of record snowfall up north.
This morning, we picked up our first significant fall of the season, somewhere between 1/2 and 1 inch of fine-pack.

As does Omaha although we have had a record number of water main breaks due to the cold. My neighborhood has been spared so far but I worry.
Yeah, stay safe southern Grogs. I've heard horror stories about cities that don't normally have to deal with significant snow.

Despite our reputation, Raleigh does a decent enough job of dealing with the snow. The one year it got crazy was because it blew in very fast, right at lunchtime, and they didn't have time to get the plows out before the roads were choked with people who just decided to go home at lunch and call it a day. That's the year of the (in)famous "car on fire" picture that got 'Shopped into memes all over the internet.

That sounds like the "Atlanta Debacle" that happened a couple of years ago. Like most things in life, timing is everything.
Here in Fla. it's been below 70 degrees ALL DAY! And no sunshine!!!! Where the hell did I leave my long pants last spring? Seriously, it's been incredibly dry over the fall and we're very much looking forward to some rain tomorrow. Florida has had a 'Dry-Pocalypse' this year.

Already loaded on both. Got the batteries before Xmas on sale at Costco, then found that we already had packs of each in a different drawer than we normally store them. We've got enough AAs to survive the zombie apocalypse at this point.
We got extra milk last weekend when the grocery store had it on sale for under $2/gal and stored it in the spare fridge. Doesn't expire until end of this coming week, so we're going with it.

In the end, the amount of snow that fell in my area today could be contained in a thimble. I'm glad, because I was able to do my work and justify to myself getting done early, but, I wish the weather people had a bit more accuracy.

They both get their feet stuck in the one trowser leg while rushing to get dressed.
I predict Washington DC will not have any snow for the next three years. Why? Because I bought a snow blower this past November.
After living here 25 years, I got tired of shoveling snow. The last few years (going back to 2010, which really was a rough year), we've had some significant snowfalls. I don't live in a big house with a big walk, but some of those snowfalls nevertheless would take hours to clean up with my shovel. My back will thank me.
My wife is a teacher, and she eagerly anticipates snow days. The county we live in (Fairfax) is sort of large, so the conditions can vary across the county. Plus, it's filled with lots of type A parents that are hypercritical of the schools and government, so the last couple of years, they have built a huge number of snow days into the schedule, and they are pretty generous in using them.

Lamest snowmageddon ever... You can still see grass, and not enough snow to take the sleds out. Too much rain last night, not enough snow.
Just started snowing here and they upped our potential totals within a 100 mile radius, And I am driving into Brooklyn. Subaru powers, activate!
It started here on the CT shore about a half hour ago. We should get about 4-8 inches. Toonces Island should get more.
Where is the Commander? Hopefully not around any sharp objects.

The last significant snowfall I witnessed was as a child growing up in Dale City, just a short drive down the road from where you are. It was 1976 or so I think, and we had a good four or five feet of snow on the ground. We had a townhouse on the front end of the street so there was a huge lot next to us right on the corner with tons of tunneling and snow fort opportunities. I remember my dad having to put snow chains on the tires, too. It was fun for a kid but definitely not for an adult. ;D
More snow coming down now. Went sledding and our footprints from walking out were covered by the time we came back
Jarhead's probably out setting fire to things with his new flamethrower-toy.... to stay warm. ::)
He does that in August too.
The troopers here in CT shut down a multi-exit section of I-91 after at least 20 cars, three tractor trailers, and one tanker collided. Luckily no major injuries reported.
About 3/4" here and it looks like it's about to stop. I don't mind. If it's going to snow a lot here I want it to start on a Monday. ;)

For the record 8" of snow is not a dusting. Stupid weathermen.
We definitely made high end of the forecast already. May even get to 10 inches by the time it stops. Getting some serious gusts too. From experience that means the biggest drifts will be over the path to the front door and also the entire driveway.
How're you making out over there Toonces?
Other than shoveling yesterday's snow off the driveway and then salting the area and steps, I haven't been outside all day. Reports are we got about 8" and the wind was pretty gusty. I stayed snuggled under the covers sipping coffee and reading.
I might try to get a surf in tomorrow if the roads aren't horrible. I dunno...gonna have to do a gut check in the morning and see if the cost/benefit is there. It's going to be pretty cold. But tomorrow is about the only window I have to go until next weekend.
I ran about 6 miles before it started snowing. Getting ready to walk to get a cheeseburger with my my junior high school friends in a minute.

It's stopped snowing here, but the roads are still crap and school will get canceled tomorrow.
It's so cold they can't put any chemicals on the road to help break up the ice b/c the temperature is below the freezing point of the freakin' chemical brine mix

It was 11F here this morning in my Washington DC suburb: great weather for a run. I was at the trailhead this morning just as the sun was coming up. We got maybe one inch of snow yesterday, which left a nice surface to run on. The snowy woods were beautiful in the early morning light. After my run I visited Dunkin Donuts for some calories and coffee.
Along with a nap and some solo ASL this afternoon, just about a perfect day. :)
Always nice to have a day that is right in your wheelhouse O0
A couple of scary moments on the roads (near misses, no damage, no one hurt, all is well) and I am back home. My friends said 'of all days to bail and you choose NOT to today.' A lot more snow than expected.

Do Hobbits really need something like that?
I wore them to walk the dog after an ice storm, they did not grip, I did a 180 and landed on my face, my teeth going through my lower lip. Still have the scars.
Sorry Gus, I have to ask; was the dog OK?
Can't believe you all get snow and THEN warm weather ....lucky sods :P it's cool to read other runners stories 8) sorry about your lip Gus ...ouch :-\ Trailrunner , I'm jealous of your snowy run through the woods , sounds idyllic and peaceful :)
I run on a country lane mostly , unless the weather is truly atrocious , then I'll hit the treadmill . Today, like most days I run on this lane , I had to jump into a side ditch off the road twice to avoid cars !!! Thankfully no one goes that fast so I have time , but with headphones in and concentrating on not twisting an ankle on uneven surfaces , I usually only hear a car when it's nearly right behind me :'( of course I keep my music low enough so that I can hear better , but that just sucks because I love to blast my music through my eardrums as I run .....only really get to do that on the treadmill though :(
Always wondered what those running socks/hobbit shoes , haha ,were like ....now I know not to bother !! I spoke to one guy at the gym/pool once who does bare foot running , each to there own I guess ...but why :o
The roads weren't too bad here today. I hate to think what the underside of my car looks like with all that salt they must have put on the roads to get them that free of ice. ::)
Fun little waves in Newport, and really not that bad once the suit was on and my blood got moving around.

We were below 20 all day yesterday, school was cancelled today because of ice we got over night, today it got over 40 and we just had a Server Thunderstorm Warning pop up, 3 minutes after we started to get hit by it in the last half hour.
Kids are still out tomorrow b/c they haven't gotten all the rural roads in the county cleared yet.
I'm back to teaching tomorrow though.
Actually got out for a bit today.
I'll take some pictures of the beach from my current job site tomorrow.
It's about 72 outside right now and partly cloudy with a high pressure system pushing in over the western Texas plains, which will pass through southeast Texas by this weekend, bringing a 60% chance of precipitation all weekend. :bd:
51 and sunny here which ain't bad.
70 and cloudy here in West TN. Rainy and gloomy all week; the Weather Channel (admittedly not the best record here) thinks we'll be getting muggy rain for at least two more weeks, pretty constantly. :buck2: When I looked at the weather map I could see why they'd guess that.
Apparently we have a "slight" chance of snow here for today and tomorrow ....what did we get instead so far? High gusts of wind that sounds scarily bad on the roof upstairs , a never ending black cloud that seems to have swallowed the sun .....but that's cos you guys are getting all the sun , harumpf :knuppel2: give it back I say !!! I guess this is the perils off living on the Atlantic coast , gonna have to tie the house down at this rate , just to stop the whole thing from flying off :o
Clouds and gusts here, too. What is this "sun" thing of which you speak? :buck2:
74 Degrees and sunny here in Fla. My grandkids went to the beach this past weekend.
It was windy here last night. My garbage can fell over. Never forget!
Wind has been brutal all day today, with gusts from 40-60 km/h (25-38 mph) and a steady howl at about half that rate. Snow was drifting up everywhere. The wind chill tonight might hit -40 C (also -40 F. Yay!).
Then again, they're forecasting -6 C (21 F) for Friday. That's one Hell of a shift if it proves to be true.
Good Lord, Arc, you aren't kidding about your forum name!
55 right now. Thunderstorm moved through last night and more on the way. Flood advisory is out for the county. Temps are supposed to drop about 30 degrees in the next 18 hours.

Glad I don't have to go back to Connecticut or Massachusetts any more.
But it's 'happy little snow'. ;)
Today it's almost 60 degrees here today in the wilds of NY. All the snow on the ground is gone but my car is still covered in salt from Saturday's snow.
Weird week in the DC area. Early in the week, lows were 10-15 F, and I don't think it got above freezing on Sunday and Monday. But today (Thursday), it reached 70 F. That won't last long. On Saturday, we're supposed to get another round of light snow, which will turn into freezing rain. I'm actually looking forward to running on the trails on Saturday morning in those conditions.
Even in rain I am constantly afraid of turning an ankle or worse.
Treadmills can be rough too. Once, I hurt the end of my finger adjusting the speed. OUCH! :-[

I think that was a side project. Boy George, Pete Burns (that dude from Dead Or Alive), and some other confused young gentlemen.
Sort of like Damn Yankees, but with more makeup and less angst.

Good Lord, Arc, you aren't kidding about your forum name!
Luckily a day that bad is an anomaly. Hell, two days later it's -13 (8.6 F). Tomorrow it's expected to be -2 (28 F).
- 40 comforts me with its equality. Like all feels right with the universe.
On the other side of the pond, winter struck without mercy in parts of southern and eastern Europe, with "Siberian" temperatures in parts that are normally not all that cold. It sucks even more to be in a refugee camp now than it normally does.
The snow on Crete and various other islands that are normally still sunny made the news over here. Temperature's back up to a high of 18 degrees Celsius in Heraklion now though.
In the Netherlands, we pretty much skipped the winter in 2014 and 2016, with only a minor chill and barely any snow.
It started snowing in early January, and though there usually isn't much on the streets, the snow on driveways and the like in more isolated places is approaching half a foot by now. It's not freezing though, so most of it will disappear or harden when it does freeze.
Temperatures below -10, or even -5, degrees Celsius for most of a day are rare. We do get storms in winter coming in from the North Sea though, so the windchill can be rough. Not quite -40 like Arctic Blast mentioned, but I'm pretty sure we reached -25 or so. The combined effect of pretty strong winds and watery snow (heavier than "normal" snow) made the parks in Arnhem look like a giant hand slapped the trees around for a bit. Some of the smaller ones in residential areas were nearly split in two, as if hit by lightning, torn apart like paper.
This morning was a disappointment. We were supposed to get snow and ice, but instead we only had some light, cold rain. My friend that I ran with complained about the trail being slippery, but I thought it was fun.
we're back in the mid-40s now, after hitting 74 yesterday
It was not supposed to snow here at all and we have about an inch...still snowing.

You paint a lovely picture of the place , it sounds wonderful :) as I'm reading what you've said , it sort of reminds me of a place in Wales called Snowden . There is a train there that actually takes you up the mountain , and it's EXTREMLY picturesque and beautiful , stunning part of the world . I've climbed it a couple of times in my youth ......or more youthful days , lol , and the view from the top is breathtaking , you can see the lakes behind the mountain , just look like pools of glass glittering in the sunlight , very pretty :) there is a stone/Boulder at the very top that you can stand on , just to say you've stood on the tallest part of the mountain , and ,yep , I did that , lol !!!!! But all these descriptions of Shenandoah are making me want to visit the place :D I'm glad you got to see it and have that experience , I'm going to have to make a bucket list ....and add it , lol :D

84 Degrees in my Florida back-yard right now with sunshine and birds singing. It's great to sit and look at. Because in Florida, you sure can't go anywhere for all the Snowbirds on the road. They flock to Wal-Mart in the morning and 'Early-Bird Specials' in the afternoon.
41 and 75 are virtual parking lots from January through March. I read a stat ~25 years ago that said Fort Myers went from a town of ~50,000 in the summer to ~500,000 in the winter. And forget trying to get to any of the beaches: Bonita, Ft. Myers, Sanibel, Longboat Key, etc.

We do have seasons here in Florida. When the Snowbirds show-up it's winter, when they leave it's spring. Very easy.

There's a guy in my neighborhood who has a little convertible like that. He will drive it year-round with the top down. The winters here in Washington DC aren't super severe, but it gets below freezing plenty of times.
Good grief , does he have WD40 anti-freeze running through his veins for blood :o he must really love his convertible , either that , or he's decided that frostbite and hyperthermia is a good way to look whilst driving around town 8) windburn on your face must be the new suntan of choice , nothing says glowing health quite like a burn ;D
I bet he has his heater on. :uglystupid2:
i once rode shotgun in a Mercedes SLK, in low temperatures, but still above freezing point
the shell-type seats were heated very comfortable, and there is a system that directed a stream of warm air from behind around the neck ...of course all the heat flows and airspeeed can be finetuned to a perfect coziness ...when the side windows are up, there is no turbolance inside. It was much more comfy then a casual bystander may think.
Only some kind of head gear is a good idea, but a simple base cap will do, no WWI pilot gear need
That SLK with retractable hardtop was designed to enjoy to ride open top in extended seasons from early spring to late autumn, or even on a mild winter day when the sky is clear
I bet that was a great experience Mike :) I just googled the car and it looks like a very awesome car to be driving around in 8) Personally , I get cold in a car with the heater at full blast , lol , so the idea of driving around in low tempretures with the top down doesn't in any way sound like a a lot of fun to me , I'd be an angry ice cube at the end of the ride >:( I don't mind going for a walk in the cold because I'm moving and keeping warm , but sat still .......just doesn't appeal !! but I'd love to try that in summer , especially the coast where I live , I think it would be great to drive along there in warm weather in a car like that . Actually during summer here in my area there are quite a few classic car rallies , quite a few of those have the tops down , and it looks like a lot of fun :) but that's cool that you enjoyed it , and now I know that it can at least be done .......just not in snow though , right :o ;D
I used to occasionally drive my VW Cabrio w/ top down in cold weather. No heated seats, but the heaters blew right on your hands, and the rest of you can bundle up. Good times :)
Nice :) 8) I've always wanted to own a car with a top down . Never have ....maybe one day :) still though , not doing it in cold weather :D not unless there's some kind of giant turbo charged super heater in the car .....industrial sized heating is what I'd be needing O:-)

Ice this morning - scary to drive in. 50 degrees tomorrow, then a foot of snow Thursday.
In the eighties here in Fla. Overnight low of 60 degrees and 3 feet of Sunshine predicted for the weekend. I'm not worried though because it's the dry, powdery sunshine not the wet, slushy stuff. Think I'll start on my tan early this year. 8)
Oh, don't worry, Slash, the "snowflakes" will be arriving soon enough... :wow: :hide:
74 yesterday, supposed to get to 72 today, and that was with some rain last night. The coldest day for the next 5 days is going to be 68 or so.
Suckit, Groundhog!
1 foot of snow incoming. Get the bread and milk! BREAD AND MILK!!!

Already stocked up.
That's to be expected from a crafty BREAD and MILK vet such as yourself.
I stocked up on beer and pizza.
Looks like the next couple of days are going to be full of suck for the northeast. RI is looking to get a bit of a pounding if weather underground is to be believed. Snow followed by snow, followed by freezing rain.
Gonna need more scotch.

Buy a case.
Getting the same in Vancouver right now. This winter's been a harsh one. We usually only get a few snow days per season and it rarely sticks for more than a day when it falls. This year we got hammered with a big dumping of snow in mid December followed by a cold snap of over a month. City never did plough my street. It was deep enough that once it froze to ice, there were a lot of fine specimens if you were a muffler collector.
That stuff finally mostly melted a few weeks ago but we got hit again this week. My neighbourhood got about 40cm of snow over the weekend and another 10-15cm so far today and it's still falling. Supposed to switch to freezing rain later this evening which should add to the misery. Icy roads, broken power lines and falling trees. Wheeeee!
Do you have ample supplies of bread and milk?
Neither.
My Chinese landlady does have the world's most annoying dog upstairs and they did name it "Dinner" though....
<1" snow forecast for here in DC. :tickedoff: >:(
1 inch is n DC is like 1 foot for me... PANIC!!
I got extra bread and milk here if anybody needs any. I can just send it by....... April?

Toonces, I heard we're looking at 8-12" of snow along the SNE coast, with 20 mph winds and gusts up to 40. What do your sources say?
^His sources probably told him to go to the liquor store now while he still can.
His sources are too busy staring at their giant watches.
Maybe one of the umpty-billion little mini-clocks scattered around the faces of those watches tells snowfall totals?
One of them has to be a barometer.
Or maybe it shows you how much your fresh catch weighs when you hang it from the watchstrap.
<chuckle>
high in the low to mid 80's here.
StarFurby saw his shadow!
Upgraded to 15+ inches here and it's going to snow a lot too.
No one seems to know what exactly is going to happen here. I wish I had a giant watch.
it even was in our morning TV news (its weather corner) that "NYC" (media speak for Eastcoast) will see a "tremendous" (journalist always have to exaggerate, i was expecting that even the weather-man tries to blame it on Trump in a want be funny side remark ...which seems to have become a must in German TV) temperature drop from +7 to -7 °C in less then 20 hours and about 20 to 30 cm of snow with gusts of 7Bfts, so snowdrifts possible
Groundhog was right, it will be a 'normal' winter. so i expect after a short warm period next week here there might be a short winter comeback in early March in Germany.
I got told there is family rule of thumb recorded from my late granddad: That about 4 weeks after snow catastrophe in the newspaper reporting from America (eastcoast, NYC, DC ) it will be snowing here
Updated forecast is now for 18" with 30mph winds all along the shoreline. And I just threw out my back again. >:(
48° here right now, but the sun is just coming up. We might get into the low seventies today, and still have it feel like the fifties because of the wind blowing so hard

Yeah, mickey's big hand is saying 12-18 inches now. Still raining here but the snow line is almost to my house. If mic key's little hand was a barometer I'll bet you'd see a big pressure drop as the front moves through.

Man alive is it snowing out there right now. Second Gus- this looks serious. Pretty violent out there with the wind.
No scotch...yet. Right now I'm teaching the kids a very tough lesson about what happens when they don't do their chores without being told over and over again. My house is getting sparkly!
^Please send the Mini Commanders to my ice encased hovel next. The Wife has moved up in her DefCon...I will need to evacuate all children and dogs before it gets dark out before she loses her mind. But its dangerously windy and cold out. Maybe I can force them into shoveling all this to stay warm.
I really should.
My house is looking good. Everything is vacuumed and swept, dishes are done, rooms are clean...life is good.
I may celebrate by playing a video game. And drinking scotch. Together.
Lights have flickered a couple of times and winds are gusting to 42...this doesn't look good, folks.
But the house is clean. If the lights go out you shouldn't trip over anything not properly stored. :bd:

always a fun time to hear and watch them fly over ones home.
I can't remember where it was, probably Norfolk, and I heard a B-17 fly over. Friggin' awesome, man. And the thing was, I could hear it coming a while a way and I immediately realized it was something special worth looking for. It was impressive to see live.

At least a foot average here.
Luckily my neighbor was out with his snowblower and came over to do the street side half of the driveway, including the Great Wall left by the city plows. All I'll have to do is clean off the walkways and around the cars. At the top of my grocery list will be a nice gift card. :)
I parked my Impreza in the driveway nose first, like a rookie. I'm way too lazy to shovel the driveway before work, so we'll see how the bad boy works going backwards into a foot of snow.
As long as I don't do the whole banana in the tailpipe thing, but with snow, I think I'll be alright. The Subie's AWD has been pretty Imprezave so far.
:o
Oh yes I did!
8)
Just remember 4-wheel drive is great until none of the wheels is touching the ground..... ;)
My wife just said I wouldn't be able to get the Subie out without shoveling the driveway, and then had me open the driveway doors, to prove it to me.
...like a dare.
I said, "don't worry about it, yo, unless you're getting up at 6 to shovel. Otherwise, I can power through that shit."
As she left in disgust, I chuckled at my own security that Subaru>snow. They can enjoy that shoveling shit while I'm busy taking care of business.
^Careful Commander. I have been in some tricky situations in my Subarus. They're great, but not perfect.
The key to driving on the snow is never make any sudden movements or abrupt changes in your velocity. Ice on the other hand is a whole other story.
I drove on ice once. No, wait. I drove with a drink on-ice once. That was it. Then I ended-up on-the-rocks. You had to be there.
^I was there Sir Slash, I was there. Remember never drink and drive. You might hit a bump and spill your drink.
Hot damn, but Subaru makes a good car. My Impreza took one look at that driveway and said, "Bring it, baby!"
Hell yeah. :smitten:
Light snow tomorrow and then another major storm forecast for Monday.
We got about 16" total, the roads around here are shit. Usually further up north by me they handle winter well but not this time.
City streets were still a mess this morning. Portland does an awful job clearing the roads.

Lol. The car is an absolute tank. My wife said I plowed a 3" deep path through the driveway snow. Got back home no problem but the roads were in bad shape...kind of surprising for Rhode Island.
Got what looks to be another 2" last night. It's quite white out there.
No surf though, which is a good thing. I'm just starting to think I've beat his cold, d end up giving myself pneumonia or something.

The Monday forecast is all over the place right now. The potential is there for 2 feet of snow, but it could also be rain at the coast. Currently, the forecast is for 6-10 inches of snow on Monday with 1-3 inches today and Sunday both. We've already had 3 inches this morning and it's still snowing so who knows.
I'm glad everyone's still hanging in there. I've been on the edge of my lounge chair at poolside worrying about you all. Now I can relax a little. :peace:

You got a lot more snow than we did. And ours has been melting all day.
Just rain forecast for here. Might kick the surf up a bit, which would be nice. I can't even remember the last time I went surfing it's been so long.
So.... Last Tuesday then
Nah, it's been longer than that. I've been sick since Sunday.
Sorry Stagger. I won't be able to come over and help with the snow. I pulled a Hamstring getting out of the hammock to reach for more sunscreen and then tripped over the sun umbrella into a flock of pink, plastic flamingoes. After that, all I could manage was to sit in front of the fireplace and try to remember what it's for? :P
Sounds like Slash is inviting all of us northern grogs to winter with him. Along with out kids. If they get too loud, he can always turn his hearing aid off.

I wish. That'd be fun.
Just switched to an ice/rain/snow mix here. Looks like we got about 3" or so, but the rain should tamp that down some overnight, if you can believe the forecast. The rain/snow line has been literally about 5 miles south of here all day and just moved into the mix region. Still no wind here, although it looks like Armageddon in Narragansett, about 5 miles west. Weird.
We got less than half the snow we did Thursday but it weighed twice as much. If winter keeps going like this and I continue to clear snow from two houses (in laws are in Hawaii until March 15) I'm gonna get jacked :)

Hovering around freezing in West TN, but so far we've avoided much frozen stuff this year. Yo-yoing up and down by 35, 40 degrees too much I guess.
Too early to call this season weak, though. We've seen bad icefalls and snow drifts in March and April. Farmer rules here (Mom grew up chopping cotton): never put anything in the ground before April 20. We have, in recent years, seen actual accumulation on April 20 -- but gone by the 21st -- which amused us greatly.
Damn Mirth. That takes me back to my childhood days during the last Ice Age. All you need now is a Woolly Mammoth to ride down to the PDQ store.

Most of the stuff here in Vancouver is melted now.
I got a bunch of photos from my friends in Japan where I used to live. They're getting buried alive over there. They usually get about a foot of snow in winter. They're over 4 feet now and still dumping.

I lived near Pusan for a year and in Tottori for six years and I never had a winter anything close to like what they're having now. I think the worst winter I had there, it snowed about 2-2.5 feet in a few days.

My wife and I are going to Gettysburg this weekend. We picked a great weekend to walk around the battlefield - it will be 60 F on Saturday, and 63 F on Sunday.
We tried to do this a couple of years ago on Presidents Day weekend, but the forecast for that weekend back then was in the single digits with a frigid wind chill. We cancelled that trip.

Nice of her to let you off leash. Is she with a real goat herder for Valentines?
Gettysburg is great Trailrunner. Better give yourself plenty of time to see it all---- there's a lot. Look in the battlefield museum and tell me if they still have the two musket balls that hit in mid-air and were fused together afterward. :wow:
I'd love to visit Gettysburg someday. We had family friends that lived in Carlisle and I remember as a young kid them driving us through the town itself and pointing out the musket ball impacts in columns in some of the buildings. I hardly remember anything else, though. :(
And the forecast is now for a foot of snow today into Thursday.
Next week, it's supposed to rain every single bloody day in Scotland. Except Friday - their forecast says "sunny with rain." ;D
You'll be stuck in either a hotel room or a meeting room anyway, so why worry.
You can always ring me for a chat if you get too bored :-)
True, I'm going to be working a lot, and with jet lag, that should be a lot of fun. I'm not using my personal cell over there but my work cell is set up for international calls, though they 'encourage' us to use text whenever possible and not calls when traveling internationally...of course.
Send Bawb a telegram via the Prussian consulate.

I'm fortunate to live about 100 miles from Gettysburg, so I've been there several times.
It looks like they removed the map with the moving lights from the visitor center, but I'll look for the merging musket balls. It also looks like they just finished restoring the cyclorama.

It turned out to be a great day to see Gettysburg. It wasn't too crowded, and the weather was just great. I got to visitor center about 0915, took in a bit of the museum (didn't see the fused musket balls, although I breezed through rather quickly), did a bus tour (which was good), saw the movie (which wasn't anything special), and saw the restored cyclorama (good) before visiting the gift shop, where I bought the book
The Rifle Musket in Civil War Combat: Reality and Myth. Afterwards, stopped by a model store in town, where they had some games, including some old AH classics there were not in very good shape. Driving back to my hotel in the afternoon, the temperature gauge in my truck said it was 71 F, so I had a cigar outside of my hotel while I read my WWII book on my kindle.
Life was good today. O0
Damn I really want to go to Gettysburg.
I have to say that sounds like an almost perfect day, trailrunner. You lost points though. In the perfect day you would have bought an ah classic and read the rules with your cigar.

Very sad! Here in Fla. if you fall all you have to worry about is getting eaten by alligators. Or sunstroke. Or hit by lightning, attacked by coyotes, and being run-over by someone looking for a parking place to go to a yard sale, carried off by fire ants, or somebody trying to build a condo on top of you as you lay helpless on the ground. That's the price of Paradise.

It's 67F right now on Wednesday afternoon in Washington DC, so I started thinking that it's about time to resume tennis with my buddy. We normally play on Tuesday after work, so I checked the forecast for next week, and we're expecting an inch of snow!
I just looked at the forecast for next Tuesday and we're supposed to get 8 inches of snow. I guess this makes up for the 75 degree days we had in February.

It's your burden, not mine. I for one am grateful they go there and not California. That would mean more line ups at wine tastings in Napa Valley.

Good news- got two pretty nice days of surf in yesterday and today.
Bad news- tomorrow's looking a bit rough.
Good news- already have work canceled tomorrow.
Bad news- I still have homework to do.
But life is like that, ya know?
A little bit of pleasure, a little bit of pain. Yin and Yang and all that hippy dippy shit. :peace:

I think I used to work with that guy. We sent him out once for coffee and doughnuts. Once.
Parts of NW Ohio and SE Michigan had winds gusting over 60mph a couple of days ago. Our only hit 42. Still lots of power outages in Michigan.
Yesterday temps were in the low 60's and today we're in the 20's with a dusting of snow.
^ OMG I'm laughing so hard I'm crying.

It's snowing pretty hard right now, but nothing too bad. The roads are clear, not sure if they're just well salted, are too warm still, or a bit of both.
We'll see how it develops over the day, but I somehow think I could have made it to work today. :-"

My bad.
My thermometer officially hit 90 degrees here today. Sat outside with a firelog and a drink and enjoyed the full moon tonight. Hang tough Grogs. All that snow's gotta melt sometime. 8)
It's snowing here right now. It'll stick a bit on the cars and some on the grass, but, the ground is too warm for any accumulation.
The Washington DC area is supposed to get anywhere between 3 and 12 inches, depending where exactly. Some areas will get more. I'll finally get to use the snowblower I bought last Fall.
The storm will be convenient -- it will start snowing Monday evening after everyone is home, and snow all night. We'll wake to snow on Tuesday morning.
Schools will almost certainly be closed on Tuesday, which will make my wife happy. She is a teacher and hasn't had a snow day all year. They built 13 snow days in to the schedule, and if they don't use them, they won't let school out early for the summer.
I'll probably be told to work from home. Normally that's good and I can be productive, but I'm trying to finish a report and I can only work on it in my office. Oh well. I might use the time I would have spent commuting to finish my ASL game.
We're getting light, but steady snowfall here. It'll accumulate beyond a trace amount, but it's not sticking to the roads, which is good. We're between 1/8 and 1/4 inch right now.
What's amusing that the snow smashing away/holding down the pollen... :D
Balmy 11F here. Yesterday set records for low high and low low temps. Snow arrives Tuesday night into Wed.

The DC area is going to miss out on most of the snow. Areas to the north and west may get some, but where I live I don't think it will amount to much. The metro authority has already cancelled much of the bus service for Tuesday, which I often use to get to work. I'll take the metro in, but they are doing track work on my route and not running the trains very often, so it will be a slow commute. Oh well, at least I have a good book to read, and many of the local workers will be telecommuting, so it won't be very crowded.
I still have no effing idea how many inches of snow we are getting along the SNE I95 corridor- everything from 5 to 20 inches. It all depends on what the storm does. Just a half hours drive north of me it's looking like they will get the Big White Hammer though.
I think the appropriate response is, "We're fucked".
Yeah, it's pretty scattered here, too. Where I am on the coast it's anywhere from 1-3 to 3-5, but Providence about 20 minutes north is in the 12+ range.
Everything is pretty much shut down here for tomorrow. I have plenty of reading and homework to do, so it's actually a good deal for me.
Redrum! Redrum!
If we don't get all the snow it'll be because it will be sleeting like a mofo all afternoon. The shoreline will be one giant glazed cruller donut by sundown when the temps drop.
Stay safe, Grogs!

No, SW, I don't have any of that fancy stuff, but I do have a 6-pack of Black and Tan left, so there's that.
Anyway, looks like we survived. It's a wet, soupy mess out there, but a lot of the snow melted. It's going to go below freezing tonight, so tomorrow should be a nice, icy ice mess tomorrow morning. Hopefully the roads are well salted for the drive in.
Man alive is it miserable out there!
Just finished shoveling the slush off the end of the driveway so I wouldn't get a four-inch deep ice dam there, causing the melt to get held back onto the rest of the driveway and form a skating pond. I made the mistake of not taking care of that a few years ago and the deep ice stayed on my gravel driveway for at least a month, despite many following warm days.
About 4" here so far and wind blowing like crazy..... probably still have to go to work tomorrow..... :P
I would have thought that 4" of snow was nothing to a man of your calibre Vance, a mere scattering to be laughed at - hahaha.

I really enjoyed how there was just enough sleet at the end of the storm to put a thin crust on the 18 inches of snow. Making it 50 times harder to shovel. O0

In my part of town, we got about 18 inches. Portland's spread out geographically so the amounts vary widely within the city limits. The official amount is measured at the Jetport and that's always lower than my part of town.

Fucking hell - it was 24° out here at the bus stop today!
Bone dry, mind you, but 24° and windy still sucked.
It was 15 this morning, 0 with the wind chill.
Made it to work... idiot drivers were more of a danger than the drifting snow on the roads... :pullhair:

Shitting in the house.
Rotties are a working breed so the better spin would be..... House-shitting.
The plus-side of a Rottie shitting in your house is you can also use it as furniture. Why do you think they call it a 'Foot-Stool'?

Ohhh, its the dog-house for you Sir.....
Deposited the Rottie back at the inlaws and then dug paths to their garage and mailbox. Now we just have our giant dog who thankfully is extremely well housebroken. Waiting at airport now for triumphant return of inlaws from Hawaii via Detroit. It's still snowing and 25 degrees here.

This last storm put Portland at 30 inches above the average snowfall for a winter. And there's more snow coming this weekend.

We're supposed to get rain on Saturday. It might have been snow, if it wasn't going to be in the 60s here that day.
Yeah we're supposed to get another half foot of snow Saturday...if today's snow showers ever end. It has been snowing here straight since 10pm Monday night.
Saturday's weather would cancel my State Guard drill. Which would be kind of a downer because it would be the first one I am teaching lessons at, entering the annals of proud teaching grogs like Toonces, BB, etc.

After this snow storm, I'm going to have to fix my car. After driving it over the ice and snow of 16 winters, a piece of plastic skid plate came loose and is flopping around.
I could probably live without it, but I'm an engineer and I have a bin of zip-ties, so I just have to fix it.
Over night predicted low here in Fla. is 39 degrees. YIKES! If the temp gets below 35, all natural-born Floridians spin ourselves into a cocoon made of sun tan oil and old flip-flops and hibernate under our beds until July. We can be revived early by playing Jimmy Buffet tunes.

An indoor pool would be just about right now but all I got is an outdoor one and it's still a little chilly for cocoons or family jewels. It has been a really strange winter. Very warm here but without any rain. Not even one single frost at my house. :o March can go either way, stay winter, become spring or both. Worse are the points where you felt you have enough accurate information to make a good decision, but in retrospect you realize it was your dick doing most of the thinking.

23 skiddoo, son.
that's so archaic I had to look it up....
I'd 23 skidoo too, mostly at family gatherings when my Aunts would get drunk....
There are many tales as to where 23 skiddoo comes from but the oldest one says it originates from 23rd Street in Manhattan at the Flatiron Building. When built as an early skyscraper, it allegedly caused a wind(y) funnel effect that would blow ladies' skirts up. Scandalous! For ~1905.
Man alive is it miserable out there this morning. Wind chill 31, pouring rain, and winds gusting to 40. I have to say, getting the motivation to get in the surf is hard to find. Maybe some coffee will help.
Kinda just want to go back to bed, tbh.

I'm going to save a snowball and bring it Origins, just for you.
It'll be an ice ball by then.
Just think, if y'all scheduled Origins correctly, and in the right place, you could increase the odds of being snowed in for some extra days!
STRATEGY! :bd:
...assuming you could actually get there through the snow to start with.
Sweet baby peas but it was cold out there today. 25 wind chill with 30-40mph winds and pouring rain/ice pellets the whole time. It was just rough all around, but damn the surf was firing. I got a couple of nice ones just throwing along the reef.
But I am so cold. Just ate a hot bowl of soup, which actually helped, and now having a big mug of hot coffee. I haven't been this chilled in a while. I was pretty cold after an hour and a half, but it was so good that I just saying one more wave to myself for another hour and a half. When I got to dry sand my legs and feet had a little trouble working there for a few seconds.

Well, it was pretty nice out, but damn that water is still freezing. I'm guessing something like 38 or so, especially with the offshore winds pulling in some colder water.
But, waves were small, but fun. Got a few fun ones. Should be a run of swell all week, which will be a nice change.

On a totally different note I am about to be washed away by a massive amount of thunderstorms...pray for me.
Barking Sands is one of the best deals in the world.
We rented a house there, it was something ridiculously cheap like $75-100/day. We rented it for a week; I went up 3 days early to just surf. Absolutely amazing experience.
Kauai's not that big, so we were able to drive all the way to the northeast end and hike part of the Na Pali from the east end during a day trip. Truly, if there is anywhere in the world I could happily spend the rest of my life, it would be Kauai.

I'm now enjoying a pint. I went with the whole local theme: Newport Storm Blueberry.
It's not bad.
Blueberry? Should have just grabbed a bottle of Robitussin.
It's a subtle hint...like a delicate little blueberry kiss on the tip of the tongue after every sip.
^Sir you are reeking of The Ghey this evening.

Does that creek run through part of your property?
Yup. It's raging right now. There's another creek on the other side of the house too, also raging. Both dry up in the summer and empty into the Hudson.
Looks like a Civil War or Revolutionary War battlefield. Eerie.
And I'm all man. Real men can enjoy a blueberry beer, ok? OK? :-[
For whatever reason the phone did not capture the fog well. It was really foggy, to the naked eye.
The road I live on was originally a hunting path and a path down to the river for the local Indians. Tons of history here.
And sorry Commander I love me some beer but blueberry beer is just horrific.
Yeah, the novelty has kind of worn off after the third one. Just as well it's a school night; I don't think I could drink all six of these in one sitting. My tongue seriously needs a scrubbing. :(
Shoulda just stuck with old faithful Sam Adams, but all they had was light, which sucks. I'll get some proper beer tomorrow after work. I had to get all clever...didn't work out so well. Took the edge off the shitty weather at least.
You need to start exploring the many tasty India Pale Ales out there.
Sam Adams Light is by far the best light beer available. Which I suppose doesn't mean much.
I disagree. Amstel is a very crisp and refreshing lager with much stronger hops notes than Sam Adams Light, and it is a very nice compliment to a sipping shot of scotch.
We'll agree to disagree. I'm not about to debate light beer with anyone since most of it is crap anyway. I'll take a Sam light over an Amstel any day of the week, though.
Agreed.
And don't forget the shot of scotch.
Scotch does not like me.

Yep, no surfing here.
And now it is raining. FML.
It's raining here too-- Tears of Sympathy for all of you having to suffer through such bad weather. :'( :'( :'( So sorry.
A Tale of Two Oceans.
So there are two online cameras that face one another at First Beach in Newport.
The first picture is a more accurate depiction of what it probably really looks like out there- dirty gray green water, wind blowing spray off the waves, cold and not all that inviting looking. You can see a surfer just paddling for a wave in the foreground.
(https://www.grogheads.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi263.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii123%2Ftoonces3%2Ffb1_zpsnjhoamkk.jpg&hash=8d07bf95cda752a6d7c58dc7f50e5b57c3d44da9)
But this one could be Hawaii...well, maybe not Hawaii, but look at that beautiful blue water!
(https://www.grogheads.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi263.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii123%2Ftoonces3%2Ffb2_zps19xtqntv.jpg&hash=a7cc537c11ee5f14ecf4a93b48a688d78f38ebea)
So, for perspective, in the first picture, my usual surf spot is at Second Beach, which is just beyond that castle-looking tower in the background.
In the second, blue picture, the world famous Cliff Walk starts at the base of the cliffs in the background at the far end of the beach. Just in case you were wondering.
Could also have something to do with the angle of the sun and the way blue light scatters. The pix look to be from opposite directions.
Yes, he said they're from opposite directions.
I'd say the big difference isn't scatter so much as contrast (or something like that) since the first pic has a giant ball of sun for the camera to try to adjust to.
^ I'm sure it's that, or something with one camera being better than the other.
I just find it interesting because if I only saw the blue picture I'd be pretty excited about going surfing. But that ugly gray, cold, murky crap...ick.
Blue light is more readily reflected by water than red but the angle that light hits water can also determine how much gets absorbed.
There's also the blueshift factor, although I'm a little unsure it comes into effect at those distances. But since the light is bouncing somewhat more away from the camera in the photo with the sun 'behind', there has to be at least a little of that going on.
Having worked with cameras during my bachelor's degree, though, I'm still going with some variety of 'unable to adjust for direct glare'.
Sunny, 51 degrees and going up to 60?
Deck, here I come! :bd:
It's already closing in on 60 degrees here. The next two weeks are looking pretty decent. :)

Do they have black flies in Rhode Island? Those things are the worst.

I just read that. I don't know if anything like that has been recorded in Maine, but anecdotally they can drive critters bonkers.
Yeah... they are the leading cause of deer/moose and car collisions as the animals run crazed terror from the woods to get away from the pain.....

Oh well then tell mirth to quit the whining then. I've been bit by chiggers maybe twice and it was very painful (and a little bloody) each time.

I am aware of those bitey black flies and we do get them here, but usually only when the wind is blowing hard offshore. Summer usually brings a delightful sea breeze in Newport, and that keeps those bad boys inland.
Sadly, while warm, summer in the tourist capital of the northeast that is Newport brings its own special set of challenges. Having lived here for two years, there really isn't a good time to be a resident. If it's not one thing, it's another. :pullhair:

Here in Fla. Chiggers are called "Red Bugs" and they live in the moss hanging from the trees and on the ground. Which is why we always take our sleeping bags with us when we take our girlfriends out in the woods---for picnicking and bird-watching and such, of course. It's gotten back down below 50's here again. On top of that, we had over 2" of rain end of last week, and supposed to have as much between now and Saturday morning. The cold windy weather makes it feel more like late fall than late spring.
We've had much the same. It's sunny and low 60s today, but with a strong breeze. Heavy rain coming for Friday into Saturday.

The last couple of days in the DC area have been splendid - sunny and mild.

On top of that, the dog is either very sick or ready to die. She's not eating/drinking and can barely get up. Being an outside dog that's soaking wet and over 100 lbs, who wants to lay in the middle of the yard in this weather is not a good combination.

I ran today at lunchtime. There was a mild breeze, and I didn't feel like I sucked in so much pollen.
Other than standing at the bus stop in the morning, I'm looking forward to the rain coming tomorrow.
Once the rain comes through, it's supposed to get into the low 40s early in the week. Should be nice while it lasts.

Not a surprise, but Sophia didn't come back home. Vet's best guess was either her kidney's or heart issue. We all agreed it was best for her to put her down. Vet's pretty sure she was in pain, but she never snapped or cried out if she was. Didn't want it to get bad and then the kids remember her for biting or snapping at one of them. She really was a gentle giant with everyone. Was literally less than 3 minutes from when the vet started the injection to when she was gone.
I think she tried to make it out to the woods last night, but couldn't make it. Insisted on laying out by some trees in the 1"+ of rain we had today. She knew it was time. She did enjoy the ride in the back of the truck though. The most perky she'd been in a few days.
O cried, J totally broke down and ran out to my parents house. They live next to the vets clinic. He's better now.

Welcome to Maine
I need to remember to make that my avatar next winter. The resemblance is striking. ::)
Only three more months 'til fall!
Well well well, look who got power.
:2funny:
Sitting at airport now waiting for my flight that boards in 2 hours. It smells like onions and old people.
Could get worse. Every time I fly I get the seat where the little kids with the PB & J sandwich have just been. :pullhair:
It wasn't kids and that wasn't pb&j.
Beat me to it. 36 degrees for tonights Cubs/Yankees. Wish me luck.
Luck! And dress warm.
Thirty Six? Yikes! Better keep your balls and bat in a warm place. ^-^
Back in the apartment now thawing out.
Things could be worse, I suppose

I told you around May 20, 2000, I was in Albany NY and there was 4 inches of snow overnight.
I broke out the AC today. I guess Winter is finally over.
This is probably the latest I have ever waited to install it on the second floor. We had one hot day in May, but otherwise it has been pleasantly cool until this weekend.

it's Winter down on the ground floor at my parents' place. My toes are f'n' freezing down here while I'm monitoring a conf call for work
It's 83 outside and about 66 on the first floor of my place. I don't run AC on the first floor. Just keep the blinds closed and a couple of fans on.
Second floor is a different story. The roof is old and not well insulated. Heats up in a hurry up there. It wouldn't be habitable without AC.
90+ out here at softball practice. Basting in my own jewces.
Thank you. I think my punskill improves as my brain cooks.

Can you not roll down some insulation in the crawlspace?

I rent. The landlord says he plans to have work done on the roof this year. He knows it's bad.
Yeah, summer arrived in DC today. My friend couldn't ride as early as we normally do, so it was a bit toasty on the bike mid-morning. Now that I've cooled off, I have to go back outside and mow the lawn. Maybe I'll take a nap first.
I literally mowed the lawn in the dark on Friday to avoid the heat. I've been sitting at my daughters softball practice for the last couple of hours just reading and I am still sweaty. No running today (off day) but I will probably take a leisurely walk to the river and back just to get my steps in and move around, about 3-4 hilly miles.
We're closing in on 90 now.
About 88F here and my pool is about 84F. It's finally summer here too. :bd:
87° here, but low humidity, and after working a few hours in an icebox of a basement office this morning, it felt nice to go for a walk outside with Bayonette
Holding at 89 here. We have a pretty good breeze going which is holding the temp down a little. Still hot as hell.
So is the intent to just stick with this thread? I kind of feel we need to make a new thread, great green summer or something.
Anyway wind is off the water so it's quite comfortable here...really nice day yesterday. It's about damn time.
Why bother with a new thread for the 2 months of summer you're going to get?
Two weeks you mean.
I didn't want to totally freak him out.
He's in the post trauma phase anyway, clinging to his Uggs for comfort.
Fetal position, clutching the Uggs, gently sobbing
Uggs in one hand, scotch in the other.
Winter's rough up here.

Is there another way? I heard that's how Tom Brady does it! :buck2:
HA I bet Brady does does do it that way!
I figure he licks the Scotch off Giselle while she wears the Uggs and nothing else.
That's how I'd do it anyway.
It's been summer here two months already. I spent the afternoon floating around the pool with a drink in one hand and a whip in the other to keep grandkids from playing, "Dump The Old Fart Out Of His Float". But I got even with them--- I put a BUG in the pool and suddenly I was all alone.
You bastard.
80 here all ready. Still no AC at work. FML.
Seriously go home - or at least go where there's a/c...over 90 inside with no a/c is dangerous.
We'll see how it goes. It was 81 when I got here. They did install one AC unit last week (and it's running now), but the rest are still stacked up in the corner. I expect they'll be installed sometime in September.
So far, it's tolerable. Fortunately I'm directly in the path of the one AC unit, though about 20 feet away.
Do what I do, work in your underware. Now that I'm retired that is.
It's only 80.6 in the office now ::)
Ok it's 2pm EST, the hottest part of the day. Mirth - you still alive?
Yeah. The AC is at least slowing the rate of temp increase. Between that and the fan on my desk, it's tolerable.

Does that mean there was a day you had to wear long sleeves?
Two days in fact. To cover-up that awful Hillary tattoo I woke up with. #:-)

we all have regrets.
True. My worst is deciding to change into my swimsuit at the beach in the front seat of a car with very hot leather seats. :hide:
Man, I'm sure glad that's over!
Only 10 weeks until autumn 😎

Today is the first day of summer.
I'm already looking forward to Autumn.
Wankers. I love summer. Beer by the pool with my wife. Grilling every meal. What's not to like.
Ok. No need to post in this thread anymore.
See you in September...

Didn't even bother putting away the snow shovel this year.
I don't understand this reference to, 'snow shovel' I'm afraid. Why do you need to shovel snow? Doesn't it melt on it's own? Seems a waste of effort to me but I guess if you live in the North-Lands, you have to have SOMETHING to do in winter. :idiot2:
Besides freezing to death in hedge mazes after attempting to butcher your family like a side of beef with a fire axe, you mean?
Only amateurs actually die.
Oh. I forgot about that. I guess there is fun things to do in the white winter months.

Heavy drinking. Though that has become something of a year round pastime.
A fireplace helps. As does tons of home made food like soup, stew, chili, sauce, etc.

Hmmm...seems to be a better solution to stuffing them in crawl spaces. Very Dahmer.

No I tried to eat it and it was gross. I hated it.
I got a fireplace. Here in Fla. we use it store the cat's toys. Sure is fun watching her try to get to them through the little screen. That's only when nothing's good on TV.
I store my hopes and dreams in our fireplace, watch them go up in smoke every winter and then sadly dispose of the ash in the spring.

ROFL >:D
West TN before noon, one week after official start of summer: a balmy 71. Yesterday it was mid-high 60s, and I turned the heat on the car full blast on the way to work for a minute or two. :hide:
Not that I'm even remotely complaining, but we're usually pushing into 90 by now. Some years, this has been our hottest time of year (though that's usually August).
It was 11C when I drove to work this morning.... cool ride with the roof down... :idiot2:
I blame Windy.
It was probably windy with his car's top down.
Yeah... car top.... let's go with that.....
Having your roof down would only mean something if you lived in a trailer park in Tornado Alley.
Unless "roof down" is some kind of hippy Canadianistan slang for something immoral.
;)

less ghey but still pertinent
Gotta check yourself before you wreck yourself and such, Batman.
i always check myself
i use bat-crab spray before slipping into my leotards
you have no idea how nasty those things can get on a humid knight
I kinda do, Batman.
you can be my robin
i can't quit you
Batman and I were having a moment Windy, jeez.
