Interesting. Free homes.

Of those foreclosures, more than 2 million have never come out. Some may be occupied by owners who have been living gratis.

Might be interesting to find out how that process works. If the bank won't take it back, why not move back in?

If a home is unoccupied for months on end it typically is vandalized and stripped of anything of value.

Yeah, I don't have much sympathy for this guy...live mortgage free for 10 months, get a notice of foreclosure and then what? Just pack up and walk away?  This is the height of irresponsibility and ignorance.  I fail to see the corporate crime or government bureaucracy that the article is meant to decry.  What I see is more crap about people feeling entitled to something for nothing.

Everybody has to pay their bills to the best of their ability.....
and answer questions put to them so politely.  Yes he is obligated
to pay his bills and as a result has nothing to complain about.
As I pointed out this diseased freeloader will soon cease to be a burden.
Too bad he did not have the foresight to insure his mortgage against
such a calamity.  Too bad the bank decided to "unrepossess" the house.
And too bad he did not have the foresight to provide adequate medical coverage.
For him it is a personal disaster of his own making.  For everybody else...

Just mowed my buddy's zombie home backyard.  Somebody decided to steal some of the veneer faux stone off the front this week, pretty brazen.
