I am a sucker for these type of games, always wanting them to turn out good.  I am sure it will be a clunker like the rest but might give it a chance as I believe it will be under $20.  Comes out on Monday.

At that price point I couldn't resist. Had about 10 min to play around with it...so no real impressions yet.

However, I do wonder if this game will be labeled as biased by one or both sides of the political divide.

Judging by the reviews, it sounds like this is more of a political comedy game than a serious narrative strategy/political sim, which is pretty disappointing.  I might give it a shot anyways just to make up my own mind, but it sounds like there's a lot of topical jokes about Biden and Trump, which never, ever age well.

To answer your question, some reviews state you can start a nuclear war so the answer seems to be absolutely yes!

I guess it's sort of nice that the word "tactical" seems to refer to some kind of seriousness during your moments of mental clarity.
