The key to surviving this site is to not say something which ends up as someone's tag line - Steelgrave

"their citizens (all of them counted as such) glorified their mythology of 'rights'...and lost track of their duties. No nation, so constituted, can endure." Robert Heinlein, Starship Troopers

MetalDog kept whining at our puns
While we ignored him and continued the fun
His glee was restrained
As our humor barely contained
The carpool treble hoffa light by the ton

It's a fair start.  You'll get better with practice.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

If you expected improvement, you haven't been paying attention  ;D

I was just throwing the dog a bone
Knowing full well my verses sink like a stone
I suck at limericks
Puns are much more schtick
And I'm not all that great at rhyming

I don't want any of you to change.  I was hoping by pointing out that limericks require much more thought, skill and intelligence to create than puns, that I was doing you all a service.  Noone wants their brain to become stagnant and unproductive.

I feel safe when I do a pun,
'cause I know MD aint got a gun,
So continue I will,
As I aint had my fill,
And my work here is not yet done.

'cause I know MD aint got a gun,

He lives in Alabama. I wouldn't take that bet.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
