My hometown band...which i am going to see tomorrow night (dinner & songs) with my family to celebrate my b'day (50 yeah :hide:)
I have been playing lots of
Polaris Sector and
Pandora: first contact this week....both fantastic games which would have deserved more love and dlcs.
I'll try to play one mission of
Stronghold Warlords, finish
Conflict Desert Storm (one mission left) and some
Stellaris.
Sunday it's soccer final England against Italy.....
Have a great weekend.

Now this time I understand their German >:D.
Happy 50th !
More WITE2 or Star Wars X Wing Alliance with a mod I found somewhere on the internet :smitten: O0.
Anguille's 50??? Holy frijoles. Now I feel older.
This weekend will be spent with Sniper Elite III (North Africa) and Order of Battle: Sandstorm...while patiently waiting for the release of The Ascent on 7/29.
Happy 50th. Anguille, hope you get treated right for it. Enjoy! O0 I may actually start a campaign in WitE, a small one. Have a great weekend Grogs.
Happy 50th, Anguille!
Working on our review of WH40K: Battlesector, Sniper Elite VR, DCS VR, Tie Fighter Conversion Project, maybe some Star Citizen PTU 3.14 and I might even try to jump into Rimworld. If all else fails, I will probably finally complete the Cyberpunk 2077 main story line.
Happy Birthday Anguille <:-)
As someone who was lucky enough to retire on my 50th birthday in 2015 it will always have particularly happy memories for me the day I turned 50 :smitten:
This weekend will be the continuation of my Dacian campaign in Field of Glory Empires where Macedonia is becoming a real nuisance and Rome is pushing onto Macedons borders to her north and closing in on my western flank...

I have to ask : do weekends in the US have as many hours as we have over here :notworthy:.
Happy birthday Anguille.
Just picked up Hex of Steel this week so I'll probably toy around with it. I also picked up Mass Effect Legendary Edition for PS4 so there's that too.
And of course I will continue levelling up all my soldiers in Heroes & Generals.
....4th Street football - who cares its off season!

The reality is that I almost always end up playing more screaming 2 year old, nagging 8 year old and work around the house, than anything else. The Friday thread is more like my hopes and dreams.
I'm trying to work my way back to hopes and dreams :dreamer:
[Fistbump to fellow just-turned-50 grogster]
Fresh off of a trip to beautiful middle-of-North-Carolina-for-work, I'm firmly convinced that "Lexington BBQ," is a joke. Went to two separate "old/established," BBQ joints in the area and had just crappy food. What the hell, man?
Gaming-wise, I'm in a Tripwire mood, so along with the continuing forays in Rising Storm/Red Orchestra, I'm dropping Killing Floor back into the mix to zap some zeds. May even dip my toe into the online portion of the game for giggles - I've honestly never done KF online with others, so I've no idea what to expect.
Stay safe, folks, and see y'all out there in internet-land.
^I'm headed to the Outer Banks next week so I wrote down what you just typed.
Lol. Gonna get me killed next time I'm in that area.
Did a job near Manteo two months ago; there was a place off of 158 that had the best Oyster Rockerfellers (sp?) - ain't showing up in Mapquest, so can't name-drop. Would watch out for clam po-boys from gas station eateries as they are a bit...wet/not fried/??/smooshy but to each their own. And yes, my digestive system hates me.
Happy Birthday Anguille <:-)
I've just started to play more of Tigers on the Hunt which I've had for some time but never really got around to before, so I'm going back to my introduction to wargaming with The Guards Counter Attack. Picked up Interstellar Space Genesis and Shadow Empire in the Steam sale so going to have a go at them as well.
Dammit Carl! You are one crazy son of bitch! Smooshy gas station po boys?? 🤮

There's some quite good mods out there for TOTH, including some nice graphic re-works - if you're playing again worth doing a little browsing. Really wish they'd made a better zoom level though.

Yeah. Gotten the reputation at work as being they fellow whom not to ask where to eat. Just because a guy has a professed love for truckstop hotdogs makes me a "bad person." Pffft.
-But, to be serious, I do make it a point to eat at Mom & Pop places over chain eateries as more unique and regionally authentic food can be had there usually. And that meant, in that case, a smooshy clam po boy.
:buck2:
Thanks guys for all the wishes! Had a great weekend with great foods and good weather.
The dinner and songs event turned into a 3 hour accoustic gig with a great mix of classic songs and their own....excellent! They are brilliant musicians.
You see two of my kids on the right...(boy and girl)

[Everybody else in band looking angrily at the percussionist]
"Did you forget your drums again?"
"Er...yes."
"Great. Just great. Well guess what? You're playin' box tonight. The ol' "Jimmy forgot his drums," box. You think about that when it comes time for your "drum," solo, box-boy."
Congrats on the good time!
^ Did you ever watch Spinal Tap with the recurring joke about drummers.

For sure! Crazy thing about Spinal Tap was the album really wasn't half bad; yeah, it was jokey but those guys could play.
^Yeah they were good but not nearly at the drumming skill level of Animal.
